Shifting focusBy buckeye(148) This semester's classes are coming down hard with the assignments. There's a hundred things to do in all five of my classes. Why am I taking 16 credit hours and working full time? Oh, that's right probably cause I'm poor and my low income job doesn't help. I can't afford to take a day off and when I do put in a personal day to watch a football game (OSU vs. Mich.) I get rejected. I can't even remember the last time I watched a movie. Well, I have to write a semiotic analysis of an opening scene of a movie for a Com class so at least I'll get to watch 3 minutes of one. Oh, wait this is a research blog not a complain about my life blog. So I guess I better get back on track... I wanted to shift the business of film to something that’s a little less bland. It’s going to be a different shift from just telling information, explaining terms and giving examples. I would like to do something a little more fun, because frankly I think this blog is boring and if the author thinks so I can’t imagine what anyone reading this would think. BUT I digress…I would like to discuss some recent movies, considering I can't discuss any new ones, and give theories on why I think they are successful or not. I’ll try to back up my reasons for why these movies work with links to some sources, but I’m not guaranteeing anything considering my brain isn’t with the mainstream (haha). Ok not that funny. Oh, and by the way sorry about the tangent. This Blog Post has been read 0 times.
