I just got a call from my mom, telling me that my aunt back in Pennsylvania (where I'm originally from) has passed away today.
She was in a coma for 3 days, but moments after the priest prayed over her today, she opened her eyes, took a deep breath and passed. That's pretty profound...and her death is hitting me harder than I'd have expected, especially knowing for a while that the time was coming soon.
God speed, Aunt Elfreda. You'll be missed.
