Bad Santa

The protagonist is Willie played by Billy Bob Thornton. I don’t think this movie would have worked with anyone else. Willie’s character called for a drunken curse mouthed safe cracker (perfect for Billy Bob). Willie is a mall Santa Claus and his partner is an elf. Every year for Christmas the two of them pose as Santa and elf only to have the opportunity to infiltrate the mall security during closing on Christmas Eve. They steal hundreds of thousands of dollars each year; however on this Christmas they run into some trouble as a noisy security chief and a kid that mistakes Willie as the real Santa Claus get in the way.
