The BlizzardBy BJChips(5,642)   WOW, it’s here, the blizzard of 2006! At least that is what the humans are saying. It’s on all the local television channels, it’s on the radio and the computer as well so it must be official; the snow falling outside is not just snow it’s the dreaded BLIZZARD SNOW!! Humans and Canines see snow and snow storms, including BLIZZARDS differently.Human – It’s going to snow tonight I need to go to the store and get gas. Canine – It’s going to snow tonight I need to mark my spots in the yard better then usual. Human – They’re forecasting a BLIZZARD – I need to stock up on milk, bread, eggs, soda, meat, potatoes….. Fill the car with gas and get the snow blower ready.Canine – What’s the difference between snow and a BLIZZARD? Human – The roads are slippery, school is cancelled for the kids, I’m staying home from work.Canine – They’ve turned the main road into a skating rink, the kids are home to play with and the human can get us all the snack food we want! YAHOO! Human – It’s too cold to go out and blow the driveway, I think I’ll wait until it stops snowing and do it then.Canine – Hey it’s just right to go out and roll around in the snow, and since the human isn’t using that contraption to throw away all the good snow, I can really see where I’ve peed. Human – Where did I put those fleece-lined gloves? I need my wool cap and scarf and where the heck is my long underwear?Canine – Where did I poop last? Where’s that bone I buried during the summer? I’m going to need extra time outside to find this stuff! Human – Turn the Weather Channel on I want to see how much more we’re going to get.Canine – Turn the Weather Channel on I want to see all those silly videos of humans trying to get their car out of the snow bank. Human – “You kids are driving me crazy, find something to do!”Canine – “ You humans are driving me crazy, let the kids and me out in the backyard!” Human – Thank goodness this BLIZZARD came on the weekend; it will take us that long to dig out.Canine – Thank goodness this BLIZZARD came on the weekend; I’ve got three whole days to play in this stuff! Well there you have it, some of the many differences between humans and canines when it comes to BLIZZARDS. Humans would be happier about BLIZZARDS if they put away the snow-blowing machine, forgot about watching the weather on television, and just ran outside, jumped into a snow bank and rolled around. Maybe the whole situation would be better if instead of shoveling and plowing and trying to drive their cars on that big long skating rink, humans did what every canine on the planet knows to do:GO OUTSIDE, PEE, EAT A SNOWBALL OR TWO, ROLL AROUND AND GET SNOW IN YOUR HAIR THEN GO BACK IN SIDE SHAKE, GET A SNACK AND GO BACK TO BED. You LUCKY DOG < Sjoe la la BJ (a new shout african expression I learn today at the kennel club). It means I am really impressed, BUT BRU, REALLY. I have just ever only seen a little bit of rain, but you braved a BLIZZARD? And you were smart about it and wore a rain coat.(snigger) BUT THEN YOU GOT CAUGHT BY THE CAMERA... ROTFL...Bru, you need to take control of your human! What were you thinking, allowing you near you with the camera. Be like me, move and make all the photos blurry...But mate, you still have my vote.
