Express Lane woesBy SLCBlog(107) In the last couple months UDOT started offerring Express Lane passes so that us single drivers can enter the carpool lanes on I-15, even when we have no additional passengers in the vehicle. For $50 a month you too can get the pass and cruise along even during rush hour. The pass is great and has saved my sanity several times while in a hurry I was able to bypass traffic jams, but the other drivers using the lane are enough to drive you crazy... There are double white lines and signs stating not to cross them, but many people ignore these and illegally swerve in and out of the Express Lane. There are also drivers that think if they have two or more people they HAVE to use the lane, and they drive 65 mph in what should be the fastest lane on the road.
Many people have complained about the double white lines saying that they can't figure out when to exit...These people are morons. The Express Lane exits are located immediately following the freeway exits. Therefore if you are headed South and want to exit on 9000 S, you just leave the express lane at 7200 S. and make your way over. Not very difficult. For more info on the pass visit the UDOT Express Lane site. This Blog Post has been read 0 times.
