Is Everything Backwards? Part IBy beanerywriters(11,675) Below is an acrostic poem written in reverse---that is, from Z to A---by special site guest Rustie, a blind man who “writes” poetry on a tape recorder. IHe composed this piece for (troubled) youth involved in a family support program in the author’s home community. Z sums it all up, however you go; It can stand for zenith, or also zero. Y is for years traveled by youth Frustrated, bewildered, looking for truth. X is for X-ray, let me explain: We’d like to see into your mind and your brain. W is for wisdom, that you could have had; But you chose to refuse it and that makes us sad. V is victorious over all doubts and fears; But you will not achieve it by believing your peers. U is for uniform, stiff, starchy and cold; Don’t let the world press you in their mold. T is for things that you think you need; But don’t be possessed by worldly greed. S is for sour, a sorrowful feat; But we’ll love you more whenever you’re sweet. R is respect, how for it you yearn; Give it to you elders, and it will return. Q is for quality, a state to achieve; Be honest with others if you’d have them believe. P is personality, pleasant or poor; There’s no doubt about it, you’ve got one for sure. O is obnoxious, a real nasty state; Should you choose to be pleasant, you could become great. N is for normal, but that’s poor advice; Think it over my friend, you’re much better nice. The rest of the alphabet is posted below. Both parts are also filed in the site category: BW Visitor Writings. This Blog Post has been read 4 times.
