Today, December 10, is my birthday---I won't say which one, but I'm well over 18 years old. Rustie, the blind poet who composes on a tape recorder (to see some of his poetry click on BW Visitor writings in this blog) wrote an acrostic poem about me, titled simply CAROLYN, to celebrate my birthday one year. C is for character, no matter how you mean it. A is for ability, I know because I’ve seen it. R is really different, but I like her just that way. O is only one of her, and that I’m glad to say. L is for loyalty, to each one of her friends. Y is for the years of time, I hope it never ends. N is for nutty, in a friendly kind of way. I’ll always be grateful, this woman passed my way. Carolyn
