In the 22nd year of KangXi of Qing Dynasty(1683), Taiwan Civil war was supressed. For appreciating the support of MaZu, General Shi Lang's nephew Shi QiBing built the state of MaZu and the temple called "Mei-Zhou-Kai-Ji-Zu-Shi Temple" in Lu Gang for people's praying.

The belief of MaZu became widely due to the more and more immigrants from FuJian, so the original temple was too narrow to people haveing the pray. In the 3rd year of Yong Zeng(1725), Mr. Shi Shi-Bang donated land for the temple building.
