JESS, THE ORGAN GRINDER
By beanerywriters(11,690)
Jess, the organ grinder strolled up and down the street children dancing at his feet and when he stopped the monkey swung easily from his shoulders wrapped around his feet performing amazing feats to the children's great delight! Attired in patchwork pants a shirt with raggedy sleeves Jess sought to please bring some happiness life's sadness to briefly ease. He was a happy man with a lopsided grin and while the monkey danced and chattered blues were scattered like the pennies dropping in his tin. People gathered in the summer shade to hear his Sunday serenade; the tunes sometimes offbeat were accompanied by clapping hands and tapping feet as Jess, the organ grinder strolled up and down the street! ---written by Kathleen | |
