Invincible? Inspirational...By TheOptimist(4,415) Hello all, A couple of days ago I felt like a movie, so I went to see Invincible with Mark Wahlberg. (Actually, I saw the movie with my girlfriend, Mark wahlburg was just IN the movie...) The movie was quite good. If you don't know the basic plot, it is based on the true story of Vince Papale. Vince was a teacher and part-time bartender in Philadelphia. He was a huge football fan and would go to every Eagles home game. Against all odds, at the age of 30 he went to an open try out (which is almost unheard of in the NFL) and made the Eagles team. He holds the record for the oldest rookie in the NFL and went on to play for 3 more years. This movie is full of heart, and is a great story about a person that goes after his dreams and succeeds. I have heard Vince Papale interviewed a couple of times on the radio, and he is an incredible guy in real life as much as the Wahlerg's character is in the film. If you need something motivational, I hope that you will see this movie. It is family friendly, and is definitely worth the price of admission. Keep following your own dreams and stay optimistic!
