THE KILLER KITTEN

by Stephen Kelemen

The Beanery Online Literary Magazine welcomes a new FAMILY of writers, the Kelemens. Watch for the future posts of their bios and writings.

One stormy night, I found myself in an abandoned house. There was no water, no gas, no electricity, and it was 30 degrees in and outside the house.

The scary thing was the killer kitten in the corner. The kitten had a shotgun. I quickly got up and I ran down the hall. The kitten followed me with the shotgun. I ran into the kitchen. I closed and locked the door. Everything was quiet.

Suddenly a shotgun blast tore through the door.

The noise from the shotgun woke me. What did you expect? Kittens only have shotguns in nightmares.
