5yr old in revenge knife attack

The 5yr old that was guilty of this attack was suspended for one afternoon and the school is going to move him to another class. Naturally the victim’s parents are horrified by the mild approach to what is in fact a very serious matter. The victim is reported as now being too afraid to go to school, and given what happened who can blame him?

Meanwhile, as parents and concerned citizens, when it comes to children attacking children at school, the worry has largely been focused on comprehensive (High) school education. In recent years we have seen an increase in stabbings, and if you live in the USA, concerns re Gun crime, but I never imagined one might have to worry about such things as early into our child’s education as Kindergarten (Lower school).

As parents we should make it our responsibility to make sure that out children are safe and when we leave them at the school gates, we assume they are safe.

How are we to protect out children from this type of child on child crime?
