Red Sox Win! Red Sox Win!By Rob Trahan(12,255) ![]() ![]() Posted Monday, October 29, 2007 View All Blog Posts submitted by Rob Trahan Colorado deserves every accolade they get by going 21 of 22 to get to the World Series. They came back from the brink of elimination to grab the Wild Card spot. They swept the Phillies in the NLDS then the Diamondbacks in the NLCS. Then they hit a brick wall. The Red Sox did nothing wrong in the World Series. Starting pitching was outstanding, much better than the first part of the ALCS. Hitting and fielding were what you would expect. The bullpen was outstanding. Okajima and Papelbon were lights out and were able to pitch more than usual with very little ill effect. The Coors Field effect was absent as well. Questions abounded about how the Sox would handle the lack of oxygen, both from a stamina standpoint and for their pitchers. Both were handled easily. In fact, it was the Red Sox who looked like they belonged in the Mile High City more than the Rockies. Congratulations Boston Red Sox! Congratulations Colorado Rockies! Bring on the offseason.
