Santa's trademark "Ho Ho Ho" is offensive? Get real!

It seems a company in Australia has decided that Santa's signature line is offensive to women and could scare off the little tykes that visit him.  Westaff, a Santa recruitment firm is teaching their Santas a more politically correct "Ha ha ha" and in a softer tone, no less.

Get real!  A show of hands - how many of you females out there take Santa's greeting as a summation of your moral character?  Personally, I think anyone who does take that phrase to mean anything other than Santa's good cheer is entirely too sensitive and needs a life.

Westaff, lighten up!  What little kid climbing on Santa's lap to submit their Christmas morning wishes even knows what the slang term "ho" means?

After all that, the company has said they will leave the greeting to the Santa's discretion.  Good choice.

The mind boggles at all the phrases we'll need to eliminate from our vocabulary because of double meanings. I shudder to think of the innuendo in hoedown, or the drug-related suggestion in the phrase made popular by Tim Taylor's neighbor: "Hi-de-ho, Tim!" Even the church will have to eliminate some of its key words that might indicate transvestitism ("Holy" and "Hosanna"). The thought of having to rewrite our dictionary definitions is...well, simply horrendous (that has something to do with tearing apart, right?).

i agee, ho,ho,ho, is classic. its from way back, when a ho was not a woman of negotiable affections but a greeting or a garden appliance! seriously, no one except the uder sensitive and those who are looking for fault would take offence. besides would young children even know what a hoe is?
