Brilliant! The Government Should Pay Us to Lose Weight!By RainbowCows(153) Posted Tuesday, November 27, 2007 View All Blog Posts submitted by RainbowCows I just finished watching a video about the city of Varallo, Italy where the mayor has implemented a program to PAY the people of his city to lose weight. He pays them about eight dollars per pound lost. What a brilliant idea! With all the hype about dieting and that the obesity level in the United States is well-humongous, what is the best way to get someone to get up and do something? Bribe them with money! People will do anything for money. I would be first in line if this was implemented in my city. I would finally have a reason for doing it for myself. I have never really been convinced that it is that big of a problem, and the annoying TV commercials advertising new weight loss pills, while repeating the same thing about how bad it is to be overweight, while I am trying to enjoy my Cheetos, really does not convince me either. I would however, lose weight to make the government happy. They will pay me and I will save up all the money- and buy more Cheetos! This Blog Post has been read 71 times.
