Your College Football Bowl GuideBy Rob Trahan(12,255) ![]() ![]() Posted Thursday, December 20, 2007 View All Blog Posts submitted by Rob Trahan You would have to be a hardcore college football fan to put yourself through a Memphis/Florida Atlantic clash. Or maybe you're just doing some advanced scouting for your fantasy league draft next year. So which bowls should you watch? Let's set aside the obvious (the BCS Championship Game is a joke, but it's the closest thing we've got right now) and talk about the few games that should be interesting enough to pull you away from the 24 hours of A Christmas Story marathon. Cotton Bowl Missouri make the mistake of losing to Oklahoma twice this season. Those two losses was enough for BCS bowls to overlook them in favor of the less talented Kansas Jayhawks. Their consolation was a date with Darren McFadden, Felix Jones and the Arkansas Razorbacks. Reports out of Fayetteville are that if Arkansas loses the Cotton Bowl, new head coach Bobby Petrino will quit to accept a position as head coach of a Pop Warner team in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Holiday Bowl When two teams with run defenses in the top 15, you can look for passes, passes and more passes. Arizona State and Texas running backs were even given the rest of the season off. Wasn't the Capital One Bowl Once The Citrus Bowl? Tim Tebow was seen walking to the communal shower in his Florida dorm last week. Apparently he had a giant 'S' birthmark on his bare chest. There were concerns about a fracture in his arm. He reportedly told team doctors to amputate it and go ahead and take the other one too. He didn't need them anyway. The Michigan defense has been working on a game plan that includes an actual brick wall and German Blitzkrieg. Humanitarian Bowl Just to say you watched a football game on blue turf. There you have it. The only bowl games that matter this season. And if you're really desperate and American Gladiators hasn't started yet, there's also a game on January 7 that might be entertaining.
