A $100 giftcard for answering a few questions? I'll take it!By Female Blogic(334) Posted Friday, January 11, 2008 View All Blog Posts submitted by Female Blogic I often recieve email notices from a couple of places asking me to participate their survey panels. I don't mind doing this, these are reputable businesses. At the end of most of the surveys there is a box to check if I want to be entered into a drawing. Duh--of course I want to be entered into a drawing. I am a female. We like free stuff.
What I didn't expect was a UPS truck to pull up to our house this morning with a flat envelope addressed to me. Inside was a letter announcing I was a winner of a $100 American Express gift card. There are conditions listed so I read them expecting to see I was already eliminated. Nope, I still have my gift card. Then, there were a list of things I cannot do with the gift card. It cannot be traded for money. Oh, darn, I can't put it in savings. I guess I will have to spend it. I called my husband knowing there is some software that he would like to buy and offered the card to him. Nope, I have to spend it on myself, he says. Oh, darn. I guess I am stuck with using the gift card. Now, I really am pretty excited about this since, in the past, the only thing I can ever remember winning is a pair of bowling shoes.
I am going shopping now, but first, just one more check of my email. I never know what might be in my "in box".
