An examination and the power of our vote!By Robert Melaccio, sr(28,936) ![]() ![]() Posted Tuesday, January 15, 2008 View All Blog Posts submitted by Robert Melaccio, sr Now that Michigan, Iowa and New Hampshire has spoken, at least those who actually voted, perhaps it is time we stop to examine the multiple problems Americans are distressed over. As we reflect on them and there are many, one cannot help but ask how we can continue to believe that these same architects of our current crises can change things? Certainly we all know they profess to be capable and promise anything, but frankly a person can profess anything and be the opposite. So how can we believe those who did the deed? Does the pedofile change? Does a leopard change its spots? Even when we change our clothes are we not the same person within, with the same thoughts, ideology, agenda, views, perspective, or do we really change? Are we as religious say, really Born Again? Well as we reflect we should separate the personal from the political. They may have been a war hero, a good father, loved by family, go to church but that is not the issue. I am not talking personally or individually other then their deeds as performed in their current or past position in government. Their ideology, beliefs, their agenda and their actions that support and will support what they believe in the future. It is not what they profess you should fear it is what they don’t tell you. Sadly, when we answer honestly and we reflect on thier record and those deeds In my opinion we are in effect reaping what they have sown. It is by nature of those deeds a fact. So as we reflect one can only call those deeds and thier actions by what they have demonstrated and that is in my opinion, SIN. Why that? Well first because it is a sin what they have brought upon people of all walks of life. The pain, suffering and impact that has struck millions of families throughout this land they supposedly serve. Hardships financially and in other ways. Let me go further why I call it sin and see if you feel if it equates to their actions, character or beliefs?
In the dictionary sin is defined as having serious shortcoming, intellectual imperfection or impairment, moral weakness or slight and insignificant defect in character, conduct or ability. Certainly there are few explanations other then perhaps incompetency or lack of knowledge and understanding that one might care to also use. Certainly there can be other considerations but I do not think they apply.
I for one feel this is caused by a difference in perspective, belief, opinion or agenda. Call it what you want but thier deeds and actions are a product of sin. In my opinion it is an ideology issue created by powerful people who see an opportunity to expand new markets and create a new business order for profit, power and for wealth. They may call it the New World Order but it is all about money. After all our very own President very distinctly stated and I quote "Money always trumps peace". So why would anyone expect peace in Iraq? Is there not billions to be made and just whom might we ask is involved and who is part of those organizations? If we continue that premise why would we be concerned about security at home? Why would we want to stifle SPP and NAFTA and close our borders and stop illegal workers and cheap labor from coming in? It just doesn’t make good money sense. By the way, how is that fence coming and do you know who voted against it? Do you know who is still going to push "Comprehensive Immigration" but better yet why? Then again if we look logically at who these Senators and other Government and non government leaders belong to we see very definitively they all belong to the same groups, clubs, social order, economic class. Yes, birds of a feather. Do you not share common beliefs with your close friends? So the objective of those with wealth is to create more wealth. If most, if not all are wealthy why would their agenda be not to make more money? As for the rest of us, well you may not like it but in my opinion you are an asset or a liability and nothing more then that on the ledger of life. They love to throw statistics around but are they the correct statistics. The fact is America is hurting in so many aspects from economy, to military to the war and on and on and they have what I call the Gall to say they can effect change. The real question is do they really, really want to change anything and if forced to just what? Sadly, there will be those who vote for these types regardless because of race, religion, party affiliation, want, or just plain stupid and as the movie line goes, "you can’t fix stupid". It really is time for all Americans, who are like those who made this the nation turn from their oppressors and start a new nation, to rise up on election day and send these power brokers a message they understand. They are already feeling it in their wallets and in the wrath and anger of Americans everywhere. No,certainly not that 20% who have it all and want more, or that 40% I just described that vote. But in all of us who do not vote because frankly we are literally sick of them. Now is the hour and moment to vote them out. It is, literally speaking, perhaps the very last opportunity we will have and in my opinion "that’s a fact Jack", as the movie line goes. So what will this do if their replacements are the same as they? Well it will most definitely; A] It sends a warning message loud and clear we will be had no more. B] It shakes the foundations of power and sounds the alarm that We the People are taking our government back and placing America first! C] It says to the newly elected you better shape up or out you will also go! Tell your friends, your neighbors, your family that now is the time to rise up and let them know we will not be had any longer. But the most critical thing you can do is your simple right. That is to insure you Vote and you vote all of these incumbents out come election day. Now if they want our vote we ill give it to them but first they should prove what thye say is just not talk. Go back to the hallowed halls of Congress and give us change NOW and real change, no more special interest change, no more foreign nation change, no more sell outs, favorite sons pet projects, no change for America and all Americans. The fate of us all and the direction and path this nation will follow rests with your action, or inaction. Which will it be? Robert Melaccio, Sr. Copyright 2007 © Robert Melaccio Sr. 2007

Leave a Public Comment or Question: The Battleground for Change is really in Congress. Will we see the collapse of our economy? Respect for diversity of opinion sure but consensus to move forward. Ok, where does that leave America? The fallacy of change. Trust in the Free Market, yea, right! Indoctrination, the tool of change, or not? |
