Ok, where does that leave America?

By Robert Melaccio, sr(28,936) Robert Melaccio, sr

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Retailers, home builders and many manufacturers should brace for even more rough times ahead, a somber Federal Reserve suggested Wednesday amid growing fears that the U.S. might be sliding into recession.

Just today from the same source our President is now considering immediate action to get spending money into he hands of average Americans because they historically spend it right away. Why not long range cuts in usurious credit card interest and the like, such as 31% or more which drive peole into fiancial hgardship. No nothing about that  do you hear, do you? Why not get rid of these Credit Reporting Agencies that are many times inaccurate and in my opinion cater to those who they were formed to support and cause more harm then good. These actions alone would free up billions almost immediately without one cent having to be given to anyone and it would impact the average, middle and poor Americans with a stroke of the pen. Lower rates and monthly payments equate to real dollars in ones pocket. Do away with the write off's, Credit Card  Tax Breaks and other creative accounting and they will do it for us. You won’t find action on that, just a few beans here and there so us poor can run out and buy that I POD. How very sad! The answer in my opinion must be in that they agree with these rates?

So where do you think all the billions really go? Take a look at the finacial news. Yes, profits are down, how shameful. Thats what is left after all expenses. What a crime this is down. What will these poor shareholders do?

So here are some extracts from "our" candidates because they are the ones professing, here we go again with that professing thing, that can bring about change. they certainly did when one looks at where America was and is now.

"Can I guarantee that we'll be able to protect every industry and every job and be successful keeping every job" Mitt Romney said to reporters. "I don't think any person can make that guarantee. But I can guarantee that I'll fight and do my best." Sorry, what does this mean? How hard will you really fight and just how will you protect our jobs from going away if you don’t know how to? Sorry Mitt, we need someone who can and in my opinion you evidently don’t know how or have something else in mind? We need some meat.

Mitt also stated to Wolf Blitzer, when asked about people paying their heating bills and feeding their families, "we have programs that help people with their heat and electric bills." That is true Mitt, but does Mitt really know how many are really helped? Come on down to Florida and I’ll give you a reality check Mitt on all the major issues. That is if you take the time to talk to real average folk and not those sitting on their nice retirement account or those wealthy business people.

So here is another of those leading candidates. An American hero no doubt. I couldn't shine his boots with his courage and loyalty. Yet, that does not mean I have to agree with his ideology. Much of what he offers I agree with but his position on some things is just plain wrong in my opinion. It is wrong becuase it directly involves my family and he cannot address it to us and it is moral issue to many. "I’ve learned my lesson, put up the fence first" and then what Mr. McCain? As you stated we will deal with the rest after election. Should I assume your Bill, Comprehensive Immigration, right? So when you had that Freudian slip, "I’d like to thank the people of Mexico" in starting your concession the other day in Michigan,  is it that is who you really want to thank, or is that on your mind?

Ok Mr. Obama, "give everyone a $250.00 tax cut and unemployment help if you have been laid off for more then 6 months". So let me ask you this, you who think aaaaaMiddle Americans have a $97,000 a year income, just what will $250.00 do and do you really think people will get that unemployment help that they have to eventually claim as income and pay taxes on? You need to come on down to Florida as well and get an education along with Mitt on how it is really like in this "Sunshine State" and especially Hernando County for average and the poor. Lets not judge the book by its cover now. Now notice I did not say those living La Dolce Vita style.

Oh, and while you are at it can you explain just who are "responsible mortgage holders"? Am I one who just happens to be supporting two families but pay a little late since our child has been out of work for way more then 6 months. Am I responsible mortgage holder sir? sir? Well I most also ask does it really mater what Mr. Obama does, is or stands for? It is evident some will vote strictly along race lines, period regardless if he is the man for the job or not. Notice I said man because that is really what we should consider. Now like him I do as well, like his ideology, not in everything.

As for Mr. Huckabee he has now evidently had a spiritual awakening. He evidently now wants to all of a sudden get tough on illegal immigration, which is not immigration to start with but sin and the breaking of law. Rhetorically, does he or did he not know that as a minister? Rhetorically we must ask does he understand stealing is against the commandment of God, never mind us poor mortals. I haven’t seen any revisions God’s law, have you? So why has it taken this long? Amazing how campaigns bring it all out.

So here we have poor Mr. Ron Paul. He says a lot of good things that most like but can’t excite more then 10% and certainly not the press core who in my opinion market their favorites. Although, he would really shake the tree if elected. Shake it is kind, we should elect the man just to send a message. You have to say the man stands for and does what he believes and professes. No wonder not many like him. A little more emphasis on National Defense and Security and this man just might get in. Now, we also must understand he can do nothing without a supportive Congress, so that is why he is a real outside chance. Boot them all out in Congress. Elect him and now we have real change and an atomic explosion which will sound for decades.

Now we look toward a fading Mr. Edwards. Well he says all the right things as far as average Americans go, but his alliance with Kerry in my opinion has soiled his image as an ultra left winger. Certainly his Democratic "friends" don’t support him so why not go third party John? A tweak on the illegal workers and a twist on the war and he just might be considered? Throw in someone from the other party and you just might have a fight? You know one of those middle of the road types that we all love. How about that guy from Conneticut, you know that independant the Democrats abandoned, Senator Lieberman?  He is split right down the middle on all these issues.

Hillary, well she is the party favorite and that of the elites. I suspect after it is all said and done it is a Democratic Hillary / Obama ticket. I believe it has been all along.  It gives the Democrats 16 years if they play it right. Although, she never speaks to her Global and India ties and her vote record or for that matter what she elected not to show up to vote on. However, she has spunk and let me say this many don't like her but she can hold her own in a mans domininated environment. She has some good idea's and frankly, she has some grit. Like her or not her world is what it is. A little more to the center and a few more humaness and get away from that rewarding illegal workers and Comprehensive Immigration and come up with a real fair worker plan and she just might sweep it.

As for the rest of them, Republican or Democratic, they all might as well step aside now because not one of them has lit any fires. So is this the best they can do? Nothing about morality, ethics, families and people of substance. Yes, substance which is defined as being the most essential elements or part of an idea. Yes, without that you have no substance just words.

Rhetorically, one might suspect, while they profess they feel our pain and understand in my opinion these people really do not know what is happening where the tire meets the road. Yes, and the minority who votes like them, while the rest of us wonder if we will even vote at all.

Ok, where does that leave America? Ok, where does that leave America? Ok, where does that leave America?

Here is what I wrote many months ago on another site. The only real weapons Americans have is a] their wallet and b] their vote, that is short of rebellion which is not an option. That is to stop spending and especially on needless items or foreign goods and only on what is absolutely necessary and buy American. No not those companies who say they are all American when they aren't anything like they were. That would force a reaction from these power brokers because the only thing that speaks to them is money and profits. I won’t take credit but evidently many thought the same and along with low wages and lost jobs it has created that worry. Strange they do not think in this light? It is now time for phase two, boot them all out!

Well interested, then read my prior articles. They just may prove interesting conversation and they just may point the way?
