Indoctrination, the tool of change, or not?

By Robert Melaccio, sr(28,936) Robert Melaccio, sr

Let me try to put this into perspective. When we are born we immediately enter the world of indoctrination. When we enter Military Service we are "indoctrinated" into the beliefs, systems and knowledge of the individual service. Once entered we are further indoctrinated into the various branches or opportunities within that specific branch of service.

Now when we hear of other systems, such as Communism we understand they have entire agencies and groups which "indoctrinate’ the naivete into believing in their cause or for that matter reeducate those who do not believe. The same holds true for terrorists. Terrorists are not born, nor are Communists, or Capitalists they are made. The end result is a person who believes with their whole heart and soul in that they were indoctrinated into. So why would it not be the same for anyone who went through an educational system that indoctrinated persons with a specific belief system, economic system, or for that matter political system? It is actually how we are shaped as human beings.

Just what does the forebode? Well in my opinion it speaks very clearly to a lack of, or of few differences in those indoctrinated with the same beliefs. All persons who hold similar beliefs have gone through a similar indoctrination. Perhaps not formal but shaped by circumstances, persons, events and education. Once formed people feel secure in those beliefs. Anything contrary or opposite to their fundamental beliefs are blocked out mentality by barriers they have established that undermine and question those beliefs. They feel so strong in them that many even die for those beliefs.

Rhetorically one might suspect that the masses fear free thinkers because they present radical views or concepts not readily accepted and challange others beliefs. It becomes too hard for those who fit nicely into a specific group to want to explore. It also speaks to the solutions coming from these same types. The answers, solutions, idea’s or concepts that come from people who literally think alike are for the most part the same, with a twist here or there. Our politicans are a prime example of this.  They really have no other ability to, as they say, "think outside the box’. All answers come from their fundamental beliefs. When these beliefs fail they can become perplexed, bewildered, most have no answers.

So, if we may examine many great leaders of this world what is it that they did not do? Exactly, they did not conform. They had the ability to think on their own, weigh, consider, apply that which everyone else could not conceive. It shows time and time again throughout History. They were and are the true leaders. They did what others deemed not possible.

So when we look at our current and past group of politicians, the young and the old, we see they have been and are being indoctrinated by the same beliefs. Certainly, if they grew up rich they have been indoctrinated into the ways of the wealthy and powerful and their systems and ideology. It is possible that it is beyond their ability, scope and comprehension to see anything differently. Why, they never had to deal with the realities, or it was so long ago they forgot. Yes, and it shows in their deeds, beliefs and their agenda.

Now taking a hypothetical look at the situation in America today and those who govern we can possibly understand why they see things as they do. In their eyes things aren’t really that bad and as I stated, for them it isn’t. Do we not hear this all the time? Well why do they say that? You see if we do the math, mind you, only 13% or so of the nations people are having financial, work, health and food issues. So we can now understand using their logic and reasoning that 87% of America isn’t doing bad at all. Rhetorically speaking of course, they might surmise if they can lay the fears of those 87% to rest, the 13%, they can live with. They may have empathy for their plight but in the overall scope of things they are not a major factor.

So until they change their thinking, perspective, concepts, idea’s and ideology concerning those 40 million or so Americans who really aren’t doing well, in my opinion they will not bring any real or effective change for those who really need it.

Yes, they do not need change, they are doing just fine and all is working well. So my fellow average Americans, yes you who are part of that 40 million, when they say they are going to implement change ask them what change, when, how and then how is that going to impact you, your job, what type of job, your wages, your future, etc and why do you have to wait if you are the leader you claim to be? Most likely you will get the same tired, worn out and similar answers we have heard for years now. Why, because they have been indoctrinated that the only thing that really matters is in my opinion, MONEY and making more of it.

Now many not agree with this but just stop, listen and observe what is said, what is done and what is ignored and what really is not said when it comes to this group. The signs, symbols and answers are all about. In my opinion these problems will not go away. They may throw a crumb here or there but they will not be solved until we take action to make them.  Think wisely with your vote and vote for the ones who have you in mind and show it in their deeds before this next election.  If you do not vote, don't complain, you are part of the problem.
