And people really vote for these types, it says it all.By Robert Melaccio, sr(28,936) ![]() ![]() Posted Sunday, January 20, 2008 View All Blog Posts submitted by Robert Melaccio, sr Today in the St. Pete Times as reported out of the NY Times, they reported on the Presidents proposed stimulus plan. That plan is to and I quote from the paper "put extra money into the hands of low income families who paid little to no income taxes last year." Well enough Bush knocking he evidently got it right. perhaps everything isn't him? Republicans, you know these Free Market, Global, wealthy types "of the people", want to put $800.00 to $1600 in the hands people. Yes, those who paid that much in taxes last year and who made over $100,000 last year. Certainly, not average Americans and the poor. In my opinion, it goes to show you money has only one alligiance and that is in making more money. Now what does that do for that 13% I mentioned in my earlier articles, you know the expendables? As they say in NYC, "forget about it". If they would just go away all would be fine. It would be a Lolli Pop world full of suckers. Well in general, they would get nothing, nada, zip, air. So a family, mind you, who earned $24,000 or less last year would get nothing [sounds like a line from Charles Dickens] while those who made $100,000 and up would get the $800.00 to $1600.00. Let me ask can you live on $24,000 a year gross income and many made even less then that. Oh, as I heard one of these popular candidates the other day say, we have programs for them. That says it all in my opinion about this so called leader who has done it all before. Yes, tell me these people are for change and for poor and average Americans and I do have swamp land for you to look at. I don’t own it but evidently in my opinion many will buy anything by just looking at the cover. Oh and don’t fret. People who made $40,000, yes, who comprise part of that 13% would get a partial rebate. How very sad they talk about helping the poor and people in need and then they bypass them when the need is the greatest. Oh well, why think otherwise? Yes, in my opinion that they think this way demonstrates it is all about money not people, so the answer is plain as day. People making $100,000 will take that money and run out and buy a new toy. They do not need food, clothing, shelter, or to pay their light bill, put gas in the car, pay for a doctor, no just buy something and stimulate the economy. Yes, their economy. After all it will help everyone, right? So in my opinion we also get a look at their thinking and real motives as Republicans. It actually shows what they really care about. This is a simple and pure business decision any good Bean Counter would recommend. Actually it is the only real business decision that can be made, the poor can only pay bills so leave out people and lets talk leadership here. It is as they say "for the good of the company" and by the way theres the door don't let it slam on the way out.
We have also heard of "trickle Down", right, but where is the trickle? Where did it go? Oh, I know to that 20% who owns and runs it all. More billions for the market and big business to shore up their losses and a rebate for those making over $100,000 a year and in my opinion they call that morals, character, integrity. I call it Ethical Relativity, the Rule of Selective Application, or better yet, "it works for me".
So as we watch this unfold we will look and listen to see what that other party will do. In my opinion of course, I suspect they will throw a bone to those in need, but not much, a bone will do fine to show good faith. Rhetorically are they saying, we took care of you and did not leave you out, remember that on election day? However, and this however is a major one, if they take up the mantle for all the average Americans and the poor, then as Dr. King said may years ago, "let the message go forth" that the party for the average and the poor has in my opinion been decided and it is the only one the average and poor and decent people everywhere can consider. This week will be interesting to just what mantle the Democrats pick up? Will it be the same as their peers across the isle? We will have our answer shortly? What will it be?
So to all of you who bought the package, the Easter Bunny all wrapped up in rhetoric and smiles and believe me and so forth and so on, you have demonstrated just what your beliefs are and really what you are like. Yes, go out and vote for these same types because you my friend deserve all you get. In my opinion we see and hear about you every night on TV as you vote in these primaries, you smile, shake these candidates hands, yearn for a picture. Yes, you are also known by your works and that goes both directions.
Yes and since today is Sunday, Gods day for many, run on out to church. Hurry, you just may find them sitting in a pew professing and espousing all their good deeds and the changes they will bring and of course God. Where would they be without God in politics? I said God, I didn’t say His commands or teachings. That will show in those who profess and do. Yes, you who vote for color, for want, simply because you always vote for someone, or because you really do not know anything about the issues or people but just like the package, enough said. The fact that it has even gotten to a debate says it all and clearly defines them all. It says very clearly, in plain view that we shall know them by their works! Evidently and sadly many of you don’t know about that regardless of what you profess? Robert Melaccio, Sr. Copyright 2008 © Robert Melaccio Sr. 2008 This Blog Post has been read 246 times. Are these government leaders who they profess to be? Big Banks Profits are down. WHOSE STORY IS IT? The message resonates loud and clear. |
