Are these government leaders who they profess to be?

Certainly one must consider that when our leaders make law they should do it will all citizens in mind and for the good of the nation at large. To that end many of us wonder just how some of these laws or intented laws are formed or implemented by these leaders since many of us are unhappy with the current plight of our nation. To that end 90% of us are unhappy. [See earlier article]

However, in evaluating or judging for the purposes of voting or electing we should also not forget they have loved ones. These are the people close to them who think kindly and fondly of them. To these people they are daddy, mommy, grandpa, uncle, sister, brother, friend. In their eyes they behold them in most cases as being good, kind and decent and capable. Yes, they go to church, profess a belief, smile, shake hands and on the outside project all that is likeable and in fact their deeds in this regard follow them. Yes, like many of us, those close to us look at us and see us perhaps in a different perspective then the rest. Is it really that they are indoctrinated into believing something else? So I do believe this is something we can agree on.

So just what happens when people go into or take on leadership or a celebrity role? Is there any change in the person or is there two sides to that person? Is there a paradox, the good family person and then the tough business person? The good family person wraps themselves in the blanket of respectability and professes to be a believer in God or the Golden Rule, does what is best for their family. Is it in their other role that the business person, boss, leader makes the tough decisions that no one else wants to make and for the good of the company, placing people and families aside? One would ask would they do the same to theirs, or is what they profess they are not reflected in their decisions?

So now we get down to the meat and potatoes of it all, where the tire meets the road. So, as I just stated, are those decisions rooted in the same principals they apply for their own family and loved ones and what they profess and to be? Do we see that in their works and deeds or only in what they profess? Do we see another side emerge which is far more sinister, manipulative, self centered, greedy, immoral which reflects only an interest for the things of this world and worldly requirements? Then how does one recognize which?

Yes, how do we differentiate between what they say and what they do? How do we form an opinion if we like them or not and want to vote for them? How do we know that we can trust them to do what they say, or in reality know they will not do what they say? Well it is the same as we judge in everyday life. It is a coin toss at best when we have no record. Yet, when we have such why would we not utilize it?

Well once again there are a number of factors involved in that decision. First do we like the package, what it says, how it speaks, how it looks? Then, do we like the substance of their being? Do they present themselves as family people, good, decent, honorable types or is our impression different? Finally we get to the meat and potatoes in these last two items. The most significant aspect, which supercedes all the rest is what they have done, do and do not do. In other words their works. Also, do their works conform to that we believe and how do their works impact us good or bad? After all their job is very distinctly not to hurt us, they are in effect placed there by us, We the People for the good of us all, not the bad of us all. Have we seen that in these leaders? Do they do the opposite intentionally or because of what they have been indoctrinated into believing? Is it that you can't mix business as they say with personal beliefs? So one has to ask, why and who said that and just who propogates that to start with?

Can it be we do not like their personal life much but they deliver that which we believe is right for the nation? Perhaps they deliver neither? Then again why would their personal life matter if they deliver that which is for the good of us all and the nation? Is that not their job? Could it be that if we suspect they are not good in family things or what they project they will not be good in leadership? However, what if they have all the great things we want to see in a family person but they do little or nothing for others, people, the nation? Would you still be inclined to vote for them and why?

Now we know all mankind falls short. None of us are perfect so we are a tolerant people, a patient people. We believe and hope people can change even though we are warned this is not such an easy a thing to do. However, the person who does or does not do in their works and deeds what you hope for, desire, expect, and by their very action hurt you or your family directly or indirectly and our nation, then why would you ever consider voting for them? Why would you want them to remain in office? Why, it makes no sense.

So now we hear the pressing word which is sweeping all and even these leaders CHANGE. In my opinion it is a great marketing tool. It is the hook that is needed to get what a salesmen calls "buy in". Yes, get them shaking their head up and down in agreement and wait no longer, close the deal.

So, when we vote, like it or not we judge. Actually in many things in life we judge. So how can we form an opinion that we feel is fair and true to what we expect, want and believe? Well in reality and by fact we only have deeds and works. Exterior, profession, words or promises are mute before deeds. It is true that we shall know them by their works.

Now certainly as we listen to these candidates debate much mud slinging has come out into the open. The dirty laundry so to speak that everyone has. Certainly, let he who is without sin cast the first stone, especially in relationship to this aspect, or better yet, people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. However, when we look at their records, what they have done or failed to do, we understand exactly who they are as leaders. That is the essence of why we are voting.

So as you read through my other articles and check their records and their works, in my opinion I can like them or not as a person but I am interested in where the tire meets the road in their leadership. If this does not matter to Americans then what does that say about America today? What does that say about the future of this nation?

Do you support Comprehensive Immigration, SPP, Outsourcing of American jobs, low wages and the host of problems confronting this nation? That is the root of this election and if it is to continue and nothing else.

So the most important, crucial element in this or any election is not what they profess but what they have done. What they have done for you, me and all Americans. I don’t want their personal ideology, or family story, although in many cases that may be good as well as bad, I don’t want agenda or their personal beliefs. No, I want to know what they are going to do for me and mine and our nation, how and when and not for some foreign entity? I want them to be in their decision making who they profess to be and who they are when they consider their families. Anything short of that is unacceptable.
