The message resonates loud and clear.

Just what is this message? Well think about it a minute or two? I did not bring this issue up an expert did. Ok, about a month ago there was a discussion on a major TV station with their "experts" concerning job opportunities in the future here in America. I didn’t give a lot of thought to it then other then the type of job they were alluding to. The suggestion was for young people graduating college and looking for work in America should consider Locksmithing and Security work. In my opinion an honorable but not so high paying career for someone who just spent upwards of $40,000 for an education. However, now when I put it into perspective it is just another sign and symbol and it makes sense.

So what we are talking about is an increase in crime. Our "experts" evidently see this as coming. In fact I also noticed prior to posting this crime was one aspect that is anticipated as an offshoot of all the rest of the problems. Why, well in my opinion we are talking a significant increase in theft or varied degree and types. We all recognize that is prevalent in low income neighborhoods, what we didn’t expect is it coming to suburban white and blue collar America.

Well some may say it is already here and that is true. Just read the police reports in the paper. Forced home entries, car theft, and other assorted types of robbery. Yet, we are entering a period where many police forces will be trimmed because of a lack of tax dollars. They will be stretched thin. So couple this with low wage jobs, fuel costs going higher and higher, unemployment, bankruptcy, people losing their homes, Credit Card debt and on and on and on, you do not have to graduate from an Ivy League School to know it can potentially happen and in a big way. Domestic problems divorce and child abuse, foster care will all contribute to taxing our Social Services.

In fact in Tampa Florida they have private, armed guards patrolling complexes because they are a cheaper resource and they just do not have enough police, a fact. Yes, they will give a gun and a badge to anyone who will work for less pay. Hey, the ride is over. Sadly, in my opinion at least partial if not all the blame can not be directed anywhere else but it is an intrinsic by product of our so called "leadership" and the  laws coming out of Washington that they support and supported. Of course they will not accept that but fact is they approved much of it. Not all of course but those who got these bills to pass by deed or what they failed to do.

Yes, those same ones many want to elect and continue down the same path with. Now will it impact them? Well, we all know the answer to that. For the most part they live in their bastions of secured gated communities. They may even have their own or government provided security and are fairly safe coming and going.

Yet, most economic type crime is seen as originating at work and in homes. Pencils, paper, ink, equipment, and every necessity of today’s modern age is required for those millions of home computers, school children and yes, home businesses. I venture to say this part of business loss is considerable already. In my opinion it will come in the standard form already recognized only in a much larger scale. Theft of hours, people saying they worked when they didn’t, and I’m not talking the worker bee’s here who are controlled, I’m talking those who keep the records and may have an opportunity to pad them. Will books be "cooked", will taxes be manipulated, will drive off’s occur, will embezzlement take place, will home theft rise? In my opinion yes. Shrinkage, not a common word will grow and frankly there won’t be enough government resources to keep it in check.

Why, have we lost our morals, integrity? Well how is this, Ethical Relativity and the Theory of Selective Application. What that says in short is, if it works for me and it is A-OK. Hey, haven’t we as a society and certainly our leaders sent a message loud and clear, Americans are humanitarians, right? However, will you now say stealing is stealing no matter what when it attacks business?

I think the answer, signs and symbols are all about for those who care to recognize them. Yes, that is important, care to recognize them. Rhetorically can we allow laws to be broken and oaths to be violated and we can evidently look the other way when people are needy, as long as we are not impacted? Yet, what happens when the worm turns as they say? So, in my opinion there shouldn't be any uproar, these people will definiety be needy, right?

So my fellow Americans The message resonates loud and clear.
