What does your credit score mean to the average and poor?By Robert Melaccio, sr(28,936)   Posted Friday, January 25, 2008 View All Blog Posts submitted by Robert Melaccio, sr Well what it means literally is everything. It impacts every single thing you want to do financially or are required to do. The Banks and lending institutions categorize you into who they say you are via a score that allows creditors and business to decide if they will hire you or not, if they will lend to you or not and how much if at all. Does that speak to why credit is tight? So just who are the ones who actually set up the Credit Reporting Agencies that are supposed to be impartial reporters? Well like the Insurance Industry these are private enterprises. You really need to understand who always has final say about anything on their reports and that isn’t the consumer, a fact. Don't look to our government agencies the law just does not allow them to assist you and as I stated allow them to operate with virtual impunity.
So, in my opinion every one of "our" leaders have had a hand in this economic fiasco who voted or failed to show up for a vote or passed on voting that caused the legislation that brought about all of this. Certainly they will speak of it being, right for business, and the nation. Rhetorically we might ask if there was another motive? They have by nature of their deeds made the law and approved of it. They have added to a previously festering sore.
By their actions or inactions, take your pick, high interest has driven people over the edge. Debt collectors have card blanche, with really minimal if any repercussions thanks to these "our" representatives. In my opinion this crisis will grow with intensity as the economy falters.
Collecting can cause severe emotional and mental duress and depression and sickness. Pass that cost onto the government because these same people have no health insurance. Bad people who don’t really give a damn never get upset. They walk away. Yet, because you are trying to do what is right, guess what, yes, no mercy, compassion or help. We all have heard it pay or else. Do you really think, ok let me say that again, do you really think the people who wrote the laws and strengthened them care about you? It is all about money and do not doubt it. Do you really honestly think that money is not the driving issue and then if you do I have to ask quite candidly, why?
Yes, thank your presidential candidates who find no fault morally with 31% interest and "strengthening the bankruptcy bill", the collection bill, a fact they spoke proudly of in the recent debate. Why, simply put, they have and you have not. Average American were and are living from day to day for a variety of reasons even before this mess. It just didn’t creep up on people or come out of the blue. Some are supporting two or more families, caring for grandchildren carrying their children’s debt as well as their own. Many watched their jobs go away and as one candidate stated and "they are not coming back". He has an answer though and you evidently approve, especially in Florida. In my opinion that crowd will evidently buy anything. He wants to create new "green jobs". Well look into that carefully before you buy into it. What types, how many, when and what will they pay and who gets them? Yes, your job and your children’ future and yet you want to elect these same types, the millionaires, the billionaires, the Free Market dreamers the Bill Collector Types. In my opinion The Easter Bunny all packaged for sale. Why the Easter Bunny, simple, it looks nice on the outside but many times it is hollow on the in, no real substance. How many at Easter Time buy and then say, hey this is hollow inside, I didn't want that? I try to be on the positive but my career has taught me to look at things realistically by the signs and symbols all about. The bottom line is we are in a world of hurt and that hurt is most likely to get worse before it gets better. In my opinion and that of many this fix is short term until we pass the election. Already the candidates are espousing how they "worked together" to bring this about so quickly. I am sure they will be talking this quite a bit. Well isn’t it strange they could get something done NOW when it benefits who? You got it, not much for that 13%, in my opinion it really is a business bailout. The answer is, was and will always be, jobs, good jobs and long term jobs. So my fellow Americans I have defined enough all the situations impacting average and poor Americans in this economy and our nation in my prior articles so there is no need to repeat it. PS: because they are not currently in office does not mean they can bring change. In my opinion I would listen for those two words "Free Market" because that sums it all up regardless of what they profess.
