What conservative or liberal has come to mean to me.By Robert Melaccio, sr(28,936) ![]() ![]() Posted Saturday, January 26, 2008 View All Blog Posts submitted by Robert Melaccio, sr Now this article is strictly opinion and it has nothing to do with the dictionary definition or who this current batch say they are. In fact I believe many Americans are of this very same opinion. It is not about these two political parties which are frankly bookends in all they do. They are so closely tied together there is not much real difference. In fact Conservative to me has come to mean everything negative where Liberal is anything goes. The only candidates that are pure in this regard were Kucinich, a true liberal and Paul, as a conservative. Paul is still in the race and growing immensely in popularity with average people everywhere because he is what he professes to be by word and deed. No wonder the press and his own party rejects him and wants him to go. Rhetorically, why would they want someone like that amongst them? If you want to send a real shock to the big boys and gal elect him in November. As for the rest, most if not all belong to the same economic group. They all, for the most part, are Free Market Thinkers [see indoctrination article] and frankly "birds of a feather flock together" as is a fact. So the real difference is not in where we are all going, it is in the how we are getting there and when. Ok, example, Tampa to NYC. Pick how you want to go. Car, plane, train, bus you are still going to get there. It is all about Free Markets and trade. Trade that favors who? Rhetorically could it just be these corporations that span the globe and have their investment in many foreign companies? Listen to them and in every speech they talk about helping people, yes the only problem is they forgot average and poor Americans along the way and worry about foreigners. Now conservative these days in my opinion are the "works for me crowd". They are the ones that support anything and everything that supports business, free markets expansion, while they espouse a belief in fiscal responsibility, family, god and country. Yes, fiscal for the average and the poor of America and like I said you can profess anything. So, just where is their fiscal responsibility? Is it in the billions we owe to China?
Example the same one promoting Comprehensive Immigration Reform stated, he would work with, yes, get this, the Free Market to get insurance costs lowered. Where is this mans thinking? Has he heard about Allstate? Florida tried that and they are in a mess as are the people of Florida. So this is who you want? Well frankly this man does Senator Mel Martinez, a die hard supporter of Free Markets, Comprehensive Immigration, etc endorsed McCain. I think that sums it up.
No this is not anti McCain, as some may claim. No, it is just fact. If you don't like his ideology, then it is safe to say you don't want him elected? It is that simple. Yes it is all about money, making more money and those two negatives words exploitation and greed. So let me ask if they are conservatives it doesn’t show by what they profess. Profess, profess nothing, profess anything, profess all you want and about anything because it doesn’t matter what you say, your works have followed you and you have been found wanting.
Now the other side are those who profess to be for the little guy, the average joe. Well I’ll ask you this, did illegal immigration help you? Does the Comprehensive Immigration reform bill they wanted to push through help you and Americans? Does 31% or greater Credit Card interest help you. How about the Housing Crisis, the war, those trade deals, strengthen bankruptcy laws in favor of big business, AT Will employment? Did they help you, the average and poor? Yes, they had a hand in much of it, that is unless they can pass it off to someone else. Yes, they helped you down the path to destruction. So, just how is it voters can’t seem to understand or get a grip on things? You might be in school but is it you can’t you think for yourself? Do you use your intellect or just follow the leader? What about the over 55, group, memory loss or just sing a patriotic song, or die hard, always been type regardless of the record? No the handwriting as to where America is heading is all over the landscape. So, if they represent us they must be doing what we want right? Ok, "who’s on first, who", as that famous routine goes. Its seems at times as bad as that. So when these politicians throw around the title Conservative or Liberal look deeply at what they really believe. Ron Paul is a true conservative if that is the type you want. Liberal, well the real Liberal Democratic dropped out long ago. So who is left? Now you got it, the Free Market ideology types, all. Remember you may buy the book buy the cover but it is the contents that make it a good book. So who will we average Americans vote for election day November 2008? I am voting for real change. I am making sure I vote them all OUT. Now I may not get one any better, but I will have made a very loud statement! Personally the president is not as much a factor as they would like you to believe. It is the boys and gals in Congress that do the dirty work. Change them and you do change direction! Leave a Public Comment or Question: Just who are these candidates? The Talk Of Change Is The Latest Scam You now have the audacity to say you can bring change. It is now, what will you as our leader do for your nation and its people? Ok, 30% voted in Florida, what does that say, America? The real facts about the stimulus package Good jobs, stay here jobs |
