Ok, 30% voted in Florida, what does that say, America?

By Robert Melaccio, sr(28,936) Robert Melaccio, sr

Yes, according to the St. Petersburg Times there are 10,203,112 registered voters in Florida. Independents were not allowed to vote in the primary. So we will use the TV numbers to say about 30% voted. That leaves 70%. Who will they vote for in November or will they vote at all?

So are we stupid America or what? Just what is this press feeding us when they talk about these primaries? They present them like all America is turning out to accept these candidates. No, these candidates go to rallies which are of their own parties. The people who vote for them are of their own party. For the most part the other 70% of us didn’t vote, depending on the state, non voters just sit at home and hear this facade each and every night. I don’t know about you but if we assume at least half of those who did not vote turn out that could be even more then both parties combined. Who will get their vote. Will it be a third party or the opposite party, just who?

Of course that is the real story, what will happen in November? Will this same group elect our next President, or and this is a major or, WILL AVERAGE AMERICANS TURN OUT IN NOVEMBER TO TURN THESE INCUMBENTS OUT?

Voters in Florida stated they voted on personal qualities. What they percieved and not their works. How very sad. In my opinion they bought the book by its cover, the Easter Bunny. That seems to sum up how Americans vote. They reap what they sow.

So do you get this America? Let me say that again America, do you get that? These are the people who run our nation. They are the same voters who elect these same people you complain and moan about election after election. Yes, these are the same candidates that you can’t understand how they get elected and are the ones you see in these primaries. Yes, these are the same ones who voted for all that we currently have that delivered to us average Americans low wages, lost jobs, illegal workers and foreclosure, 31% interest. Yes, these are the same that are meeting in New Orleans to discuss SPP. The question is do they represent you and is this who you want representing you? Rhetroically, it evidently didn't matter in Florida what they did, they liked what they saw.

Well my friends while your home or at the club watching the ball game America is sailing right past. So, if you really want to be part of real change and the only change here is what you must do and do it now and leading up to November 2008. Something those in power don’t believe will ever happen and you know something they just might be right. Frankly, they don’t believe we average Americans have what it takes. So the question really is do you? In my opinion if it follows Florida that sums it all up.

So who can we vote for? Frankly we all are asking those same questions and frankly there is no difference or easy answer. The difference in these candidates will only show in Congress between now and November. That will be the true test if we have the same, or true change? We should all note closely what they do. They evidently can pass what they want to between now and then if they want to, i.e., the rebates, but will they?

Now what these candidates are selling is not their record. They have no record that 90% of us like, a fact. No they are selling hope and they have packaged it under the umbrella of change. It is up to us and not like Florida, that we must never forget their deeds or works and follow what they did.

However, we can remain open minded and perhaps things will change by November because they did something real not crumbs for average Americans and America. Yet, we should never forget should nothing change then we must do what our forefathers did. Not by the gun, but by the power of the vote that they provided us.

1- First, you need to be resolved to vote in November.

2- Then vote to vote out every single incumbent of either party. You can get no worse.

3- You need to pass this along in providing this to your friends and family.

4- You need to pass it by email, word of mouth, phone or letter.

5- You must take responsibility or frankly stay silent. You reap what you sow.

Yes, but most of all we all must unite to VOTE THEM ALL OUT! We can do no worse. It is not any longer what you can do for your country. It is now what will our leaders do for our nation and its people? It is time for the average and poor of this nation to unite and to speak for We the People!

So we realize many are skeptical that this will make a difference but that is the key to failure. In my opinion apathy is what those in power hope for. Well as many people stated as opinion at the polling booth just today, "no good one in the entire bunch, they are all the same". So, if we take action what will this do?

So lets look at it in simple terms, down to basics. If we are outside and get wet mom would say take off the shirt and put on a new one. Why, so you wouldn’t get sick. So why do we want to put on the same old wet shirt and continue getting sick. Change the shirt. Now, it may get wet again but we can always repeat the process until it stays dry. It is as basic as that.

That my friends sends a message loud and clear. It is so loud it shakes the halls of power to the roots and generates fear. Fear, that we will no longer put up with Big Business favoritism, 31% interest on credit cards, bad trade, outsourcing jobs, giving away America’s manufacturing, nor tolerate the condoning of the breaking of our nations law by anyone, especially our leaders.

It is not any longer what you can do for your country. It is now what will you as our leader do for your nation and its people?

The President stated last evening, which is one of the few things I can agree with,"The strength -- the secret of our strength, the miracle of America, is that our greatness lies not in our government, but in the spirit and determination of our people". From little acorns mighty trees grow. From, one, to two, to three," let the word go forth " as John Kennedy stated, as they like to say, to every corner of the land that We the People are taking our nation back at the ballot!

November 2008, make change, make history, VOTE THEM ALL OUT! Be that spirit and determination of our people". Be American first! Vote American!
