$6 Million an hour, a lot of Chop Suey.By Robert Melaccio, sr(28,936) ![]() ![]() Posted Sunday, February 10, 2008 View All Blog Posts submitted by Robert Melaccio, sr Yes we are spending ourselves into debt at the rate of 46 million an hour which translates into about 9 trillion in the hole. Yes, a lot of rice can be purchased with that. Oh, if we thought about a good portion of this staying here in America might we presume we might not be in the mess we are in? So who do you think got us into this jam and keep us there? Now even a bigger mess is the stimulus package we are supposed to use to purchase goods with the money our government gave us. Yes, you know the TV’s and other entertainment equipment we make here. Oh, I’m sorry that’s offshore. Ok, then how about the Computers and peripherals and supplies? Ok, most of that if not all is made offshore. Well we can certainly buy sneakers and shoes right? Ok, those are made offshore. What about a new set of tires from one of those All American Tire Companies. Oh, most if not all are made, you guessed it, offshore. Ok, how about that statue of Dr. King? Sorry, that’s being made offshore. Can i buy some clothes perhaps, sorry, read the label. So what do All American companies manufacture? Well in my opinion two extremely important things for them, low wages and bigger profits. Hey no one likes the truth as evidenced by this election. In my opinion it is exactly what America is all about today.
Yes now how really sad it seems people are voting of all things because of race. White or black, race on both sides of the isle. Rhetorically, who is the real racist here? What does that say about voters? What does that bode for America?
Well after years of writing and seeing much of what I wrote to come to be, a military that just stated yesterday they are hurting and can’t fight even one war much less two without being severely hard pressed. A reserve force that is in shambles. An economy in a mess, illegal workers all over by the millions and on and on and on and on and get this, Americans want to elect this same bunch to office to make change. Yes, this bunch who evidently had nothing to do with the problems. Rhetorically speaking I guess not, they never do show up to vote on important items.
Yet, to actually see people thrilled to vote for these people defies all logic and comprehension. Yes, a black or woman president a major step no denying that but do we throw all aside for that? Certainly people do not think they are. They have bought into the package and frankly by example, deed and experience it isn't the package that represents me but hey, they don't seem to care. Yes, it does not equate to logic or anything that would be the normal factors to weigh, discern, and come out with a reasonable outcome based on their deeds and works or even what is professed. In my opinion one and one does not equal two with any of them. Yet, does it matter? So in expressing opinion we must get to the illogical and put logic aside. Obama is black and that is all that evidently matters to some, not works, record or deeds or even ideology. Rhetorically, what does that say about the ones voting for him because of that reason alone? McCain is a Hero, so his voting record verses what he says now evidently doesn't matter either. So what if he authored Comprehensive Immigration, we trust him, right? Hillary, well in my opinion she has been Hillary and we should also not eliminate the fact as a female is also in line for an historical event. What does that say about those voting for her for that reason alone? Rhetorically one can presume fairly accurately it doesn't matter what they stand for or do and many people can evidently put everything they say they are and believe in aside for the sake of a statement. I just wonder why Huckabee, who I have not supported in the past, whose programs are a real change and not a Washington insider, can't light the fire of Change these people claim they want? Rhetorically, I guess for the most part we all like Easter Bunnies do we not and we'll make do with what we have.
So here are my opinions Mr. And Mrs. Average America as you will make them come to be regardless of who gets elected president; 1- Evidently more and bigger deficits.
2- Comprehensive Immigration, a fact, sometime right after election.
3- The North American Union, done deal as well.
4- Open borders more illegal workers only this time they are all legal.
5- More Free Trade then ever before.
6- Average Americans will now increase the number of poor Americans, who really cares?
7- You will be required to pay for Health Care regardless if you have the money to pay or not.
8- More cardboard boxes for the homeless.
9- Iraq, a continued mess no matter who is in. After all "Money always trumps peace".
Don’ think so, well I hope you are right. In my opinion God will have to perform a Born Again Miracle on some of these candidates based on their records if this change you believe in is to come about. I for one would rather be wrong but the truth is does a leopard change its spots? So why would I ever think these would? The other two, well they will never make it, period. They are as the song goes, but not what the song says, "I’m in with the in crowd and I go where the in crowd goes". So is it fair to say for most of us we recognize that when we are in debt there is a day of reckoning. For average Americans the noose, for Big Corporations the bailout, but this time my dear voters in my opinion you will be the instrument, you will be the accomplice, by your hand you have OK’D, approved and acquiesced to the deeds to follow and sorry that trillion upon trillion of debt will finally hit the wall like it always does and guess who will have to pay and pay dearly? Are we near that point now and in the log run do you feel there will be real change? I remind everyone without average Americans in the market economically to be able to buy it will be a big order to fill. So at this point you just may want to search my earlier articles for what is in store for you because in my opinion you can’t wait to get it and you are the ones who desired this "change". As for me I always have the luxury of being wrong. I haven't in many things I have written to and sadly that is not bragging. Yet I prefer in this one to be. Lets hope you are right because there is no second chance. Robert T. Melaccio Sr. 2008 Copyright ©2008 Robert Melaccio This Blog Post has been read 206 times.
