Does it really matter?By Robert Melaccio, sr(28,936) ![]() ![]() Posted Sunday, February 17, 2008 View All Blog Posts submitted by Robert Melaccio, sr The following represents in table form the key differences between Obama / Hillary and McCain in a quick general view. In reality and if you are a religious or not and with strong Pro Life beliefs, you have a clear a choice as anyone will. Keep in mind it matters not what the President thinks Congress will do the deeds. But for purposes of beliefs, conviction, morality and character you have a very definitive choice between them all. The rest of what they stand for is nothing really different, just look for yourself. Now Donna Brazile of CNN news stated and to paraphrase her comments, there are big issues of difference here for voters to consider and they are in my opinion the only real differences. They are, stem cell research and abortion. However, I have to agree that she hit it on the head for those who profess religious convictions. It is the cutting edge between all believers. It is the line in the sand as to who you really are and what you profess to be and believe and what you will actually do. Hey, others do not have to know, you will. Now here is the real key in short of what they profess and support-
So what we see is that in all other things they would be in general, Republican or Democrat exactly the same. Frankly check their voting rcords and you shall see, they are all "Birds of a feather" in works. I really do'lt care what they call themselves or profess. It is in the doing. You may say I left out taxes. Well by record and in my opinion Republicans always cut for the wealthy, with their continued selling point of Trickle Down economics. Of course have you seen that trickle down lately? The Democrats will continue down the taxation path. Obama will lead the charge with Hillary a close second and boy will they tax. Don’t get me wrong the rich will pay more but then they in my opinion they will leave no one out and no rock unturned. Now they all have promised us, health care, jobs, and a host of everything thrown in. Yes, like the fine print on a car advertisement, let the buyer beware, their records and deeds, well frankly you don’t care right? Its all about the package and visual anyway. So we are now at the end of this facade that all Americans go through to elect a President, get no real candidate and have to listen to the media ballyhoo a system they claim is inclusive of all Americans. Now if I had to wager I would think these are what average Americans want - 1- Good stay here, pay good, long term jobs and an end to low wages, no benefit dead end work. 2- Affordable health care, not socialized. 3- Solid retirement and pension programs. 4- Elimination of credit greed with fair interest and lending practices. 5- Manufacturing and industry that stays at home and provides solid blue collar employment. 6- Stop being the police for the world. 7- An end to open borders and illegal workers. 8- A rebuilding of our infrastructure. 9- A strong military and reserves. 10 An America for We the People and adherence to our Constitution. Not so hard. Then why can’t we get it out of this bunch? Yes, this same bunch, all, that have been in office and part of government and business for decades. Yes, this same bunch that says they are the new Mr. Clean and are going to clean up Washington. Yes, believe that and what can one say. Like I said their works are there for all to see and read, that is if one cares to. Otherwise, Easter is right around the corner and in my opinion you will get yourself one big Easter Bunny for sure.
