The Lost Art Of ConverationBy Eathan(75) Posted Monday, February 18, 2008 View All Blog Posts submitted by Eathan It came to me last night during a conversation with SK31. I realized why she's been so frustrated with me over the last couple months. Sk31 has lost the art of conversation. Dating is as much about physical attraction as it is to being mentally attractive. The most common way we show physical attraction is with our appearance, smile, hair, and style of dress. That's soooo easy for so many people. We have plenty of tv shows about style, dress, and appearance. But there are very few shows, if any, on conversation. Any one can say a witty line to get the girl's attention or to get her cell number. But the real reason dating is so difficult as we get older is because we no longer have conversations. Everyone some how feels as if they should have all the information right away, as if they could google all the information. I've always been partial to woman who can sit down and talk to me. If you can talk to me, you'll learn everything about me. <img border="5" vspace="5" align="right" width="450" src="http://www.hollywoodjesus.com/movie/finding_forrester/10.jpg" hspace="5" height="300" />You'll learn my favorite foods, my hobbies, how important my children are, what type of wine I enjoy, and practically anything else. Of course, you can't learn all of that in one conversation. The fact is, Sk31 wanted to know everything about me. The only way she knew how to do that was to ask me questions. I call it, 20 questions. Some where between #4 and #5, I got irritated and decided I wasn't going to answer any more questions. The real problem is, when you're attracted to someone and you don't want to ruin it by talking to much. In reality, conversation is the glue that holds relationships together. Good conversations are a real sign of good relationships. This Blog Post has been read 42 times.
