Our Candidates on Free Trade and its impact.By Robert Melaccio, sr(28,936) ![]() ![]() Posted Thursday, February 21, 2008 View All Blog Posts submitted by Robert Melaccio, sr Now there is an underlying truth to what is happening here in America that I believe few to none seem aware of. It is happening in Japan and in Europe leading to an import of foreign workers due to their declining birth rate. Here in America that is happening as well and as a result we are seeing the shrinking of the white western cultured majority that will by all projections become a minority about 2040 if the current pace of illegal migration continues. American Blacks will remain about the same percentage. Yet here is a significant key. In my opinion both races will compete for any mid to low end jobs along with other low end workers and illegal workers. You would think blacks would move up the economic ladder. Think hard and long and learn to look at what is all around you. The signs and symbols that say it all.
Why, well simple, who is getting our free education dollars and priority for access to schooling? Who is getting the Green Cards and the top jobs? hey it is by nature of fact. What are our own leaders saying about Americans over and over and over about their ability and I am talking black and white Americans. Do you not hear? Do you not see? Does it not show when you plant moves to Mexico and they buy you out. Yes, sitting fat for awhile and that is unless you have to go back to work. So let me ask do you read and better yet do you comprehend? Yes a reduction in American industrial capability and the transition into what the ideologists call the "service society" has been taking place. It means fewer high level, good paying jobs and less skilled workers. Take a look at the want adds for the types of jobs available and the pay. That says it all. Medical field, a good choice, America is aging and dying. However, their goes your weekends and holidays and more night shifts and certainly retirement as we once knew it. It translates in my opinion and by nature of what is transpiring right before us regardless if you believe it or not. If this continues in a few short years low wages, no benefits and a Third World nation. Although in my opinion it will still still be a nation for the haves, because they do not operate in the realm of nations. No, they operate in the reality of money and Free and Open Markets and you my friend are a cost item on the ledger and an impact to profits. Still don't believe then read the profit reports of those major corporations. In my opinion we are now at the brink of critical mass and we are now all feeling the effects of this wanton dismantling of American industry that Americans need to get a realization of and now. What brought this about in my opinion was an uncontrolled rush to Globalization of the world and excessive profits. Now certainly many will disagree. Who might they be? Well look at their pedigree and bank account and that will give you the answer. I just say what is the reality and the facts. Just look at this current financial crisis and believe me it is a crisis and those who know, know! So here are some facts about those candidates you want and love. They are facts and not fiction and based on facts readily available from the candidates themselves. Hillary Clinton is a definite supporter of Free Trade. She has close ties to prominent persons in India where we have seen a large expansion of American business and outsourcing of American jobs. While she has recently spoken out about deals that other nations have reneged on concerning compliance and enforcement it does this nation no good at all. In fairness she said this agreement should not be used as a standard for the future. However, the deed has been done. In other words take out an eye and it isn’t going back in. In my opinion she has grown "tougher" on Free Trade with the campaign [how strange], but in my opinion continues to be a staunch advocate and voting for a number of measures and with her peers, most recently with Peru. To her credit she has spoken out against NAFTA and has reduced her enthusiasm for Globalization and trade with China. In my opinion a positive thing. She claims she would review every trade agreement during her first 6 months in office. What this translates to is anyone’s guess. Is she for or against SPP, have you heard? Now Barak Obama also supports Free Trade. He is more focused on environmental and labor issues then the movement of our industry offshore. I find those two aspects as being a plus with the dismantling a major negative. He also would "try" to amend NAFTA . To what extent who knows since he supports Comprehensive Immigration of the legalization of illegal workers. He would also meet with Canada. Now I don’t know about you but we are back to S.P.P. and the North American Union. I ask, meet for what and what will come of it? Is he for or against this treaty? Have you heard? What will we give up to get and what does it all mean in the end? That is the real issue here my fellow average American. To his credit he professes all trade should be fair and not just good for the money brokers and makers. While a noble thought I ask where and when has it been implemented and by who? So that brings us to Senator McCain. This is the man who will create American jobs through education. Ok, Senator have you read anything lately about jobs and education? He speaks all the time of Democracy and Free markets. True you must establish Democracy for Free Markets to work effectively. What does that translate into? Ok, you are intelligent enough, look at Iraq. In my opinion model number one in the middle east. Perhaps now and just rhetorically of course, could this be why it is so important? This Senator is the top dog when it comes to free Trade and like Mr. Christ the Governor of Florida and perhaps his running mate as speculation goes, they always turn to the free market for solutions. I will give you one word, Allstate. Mr. McCain also supports SPP, Comprehensive Immigration and well enough said.
His nemesis Mr. Huckabee has done a few about faces lately. That’s strange for politicians no? I guess religion and politics do not mix? He is now worried about Free Trade and aims to make it fair trade. That is the dilemma, will it happen and how? He has done an about face on illegal workers, once a supporter of, so might he do it again? In a match with McCain he is the winner. I know exactly where McCain is heading. It is a roll of the dice in my opinion with Huckabee. Is he for or against SPP, have you heard?
Now poor old Ron Paul has been critical of all of these trade agreements although he admits to being a Free Trader as well. Are there any in Congress not? He has championed many movements for tightening trade agreements and eliminating the World Trade Organization. He definitely states we are moving toward erasing our borders. This man has been consistent and has stated right up front his intentions all along and look where he is? I suspect fact and truth did him? In my opinion we do not wish that in out leaders. Rhetorically one presumes conniving, cheating, omission, deceit and redirection and certainly Ethical Relativity in place of morals are better qualities in this new world. I think we can safely say he is against SPP. So there you have it. Part of the same old tired crowd I have been speaking to you about and you my friend see change. In my opinion change to save themselves perhaps but little else. Your choice and we get to see just what those who vote really want. No not what they profess and complain about but who they vote for and what they really like. Yes, even the Unions want it even though their stature, power and numbers have shrunk drastically and in my opinion will continue to. Why would anyone think that? Well in simple logic it doesn’t impact the fat cats at the top. Yes the sheep in the bottom who hope, just follow their leaders. In my opinion they would be better off taking up French and Spanish and then they will all be set for SPP, coming to us all soon. So as this American tale unfolds we can take this to the bank. Their will be more Free Trade and subsequently the loss of American jobs, period, no way around it. More open borders which is a good thing. It means we can all move to Canada or Mexico and displace those workers. So the only answer is our 'leaders" have to find a way to bring good paying stay here jobs home to keep themselves and their ideology moving. This is the real test that is upon them. So this is the bargaining chip for the world to hear or reject. How do they stop the leak and hole in the Dam? Will they use the bubble gum, like that advertisement on TV, or fix it? My money is on that bubble gum. Now in closing let me say I have never been against Free Trade, no, just how it has been implemented. Some of the things they are saying perhaps have sunk in and they did wake up? Perhaps a little too late, maybe not? We shall all see? As for me, I have nothing to place my hat on to say it will change but the fact is if they don’t do something soon it just may be another ship without enough life boats.
