Understanding why there are the

By Robert Melaccio, sr(28,936) Robert Melaccio, sr

In this article I touch briefly on the following Communism, Fascism, Socialism and Capitalism and where we are today. To that extent I try to educate myself on all political systems, their leaders and history when forming an opinion. Like many my first inclination is to the sensory, external attributes that draw me into considering something. As example, liking a presidential candidate or not by their speech, looks, family? I try very had to dismiss what attracts me sensory wise to that person and look at truly who that person is and how and why they do what they do. That usually explains the why of what they do.

So being a person who dabbles in historical events I thought I’d research some forms of government used in the world. Certainly we in America are familiar with Capitalism. However if it were the system that works the best just why have these other systems developed? There had to be a common basis for them all. Strangely or not if we do an examination we find a root cause for their coming into existence. While a cursory examination the difference in classes or people or groups becomes quite clear. It is in effect the story of history since the beginning of time. The story of the have and the have not,  which translates into the wealthy and the workers. So while the search for most individual humans is "to be recognized and someone", yes true, few fit into the have category.

The first system I talk to is Communism. In this system Carl Marx always thought that Capitalism would eventually reach a crisis point and suffer a revolt of the working class from within. He based it on the greed of the rich for more and more wealth. As an analogy as a fire grows it has the need to consume more and more it is  a basic law. In that thinking workers just would not accept their fate continually. This eventually came about in the Russian Revolution and it was presumed it would follow world wide. We all know that has never happened in the major industrial nations. Needless to say while not a Communist one could see based in today’s circumstances how he perceived this possibility especially in the exploitation of the working class in his era. While it never materialized in America it was the paradigm that was different. America and under industrial leaders like Henry Ford the working class grew economically. However, are we seeing a return to the sweat shop mentality that is ever present, At Will employment, less pay and benefits that brought about Unions? Think hard my friends.

As mentioned, Marx perceived the need of industry to exploit more and more cheap labor for increased wealth. Today we see the emergence of Globalism, cheap labor and the spreading of markets, etc. As I stated he just had not seen the magnitude of what would become Globalism at that time just its eventual emergence requirements as  a basic requirement of that system. That is the spreading of industry worldwide to open new markets. This was and is done through what we know as the creation of new democracies and emerging industrialization and what those in other nations, such as Iraq, percieved as colonization. Ever here that word used anywhere when one speaks to Iraq? Yet in my opinion it is a facade of false competition. Why, because these corporate giants really own all the companies. It is a false impression of competing as they divide the world into what we now know, as Marx perceived and we now call "spheres of influence", the G8. Hey, he said it and he just did not call it that, that is what emerged.

So by spreading their capital around the world, that is their wealth, Conglomerates could generate additional profits through investment and growth in emerging nations and open new markets for their goods. Not so bad an idea when all share fairly, including the workers. Yet, in my opinion that is the fatal flaw, fair and share.  So, in essence all are entwined with each other, with each having an element necessary to bring the goods to market. One makes this, one makes that and someone else puts it all together. This is in my opinion where markets come in to supplant nations.
So if we may ask, who suffers? Is it the working class? So because of the exploitation of the working class, the have not as I relate to, so came about the creation of this system we call Communism. The glitch to success was always the key ingredient of any system, people.

Now Fascism was developed and in that system it considers the individual subordinate to the state. The state controls everything and decides all for the benefit of the working class. They take care of all the peoples needs but the people serve the state. Hey many people like this way and are quite happy with it. Look at Italy, a little of everything as is most of Europe today.

Now some characteristics associated as being required for Fascism are, patriotism, anti-communism, a dependency in cooperating with corporations, expanded police powers and control and reduced rights for the working class or average people under the guise of protection. Now here is a very interesting tidbit. Usually two classes of people exist in a fascist state, what I call the haves and the have not. The have are always the superior class and really feel that way and are above what our forefathers called 'the common man" . It is believe it or not usually defined by race, economic class, creed. Yes they even profess God and their religious leaders never see anything wrong with 31% interest or any other moral issue. Their God always seems to approve what they do. Yes, Germany even had God on their side. Yet be aware that to have money does not necessarily mean you are of the have. Only a small percentage attain that level. Perhaps about 15 or 20% of the population. Strange that number comes up. Isn't hat who owns 80% of all the wealth in America these days?  Oh well, coincidence. Yet, interestingly any Fascist nation could also be a operating under a form of government such as ours, called a Republic.

A Republic yes, but just not for all and even though always alluded to as one. You can guess who lives in what domicile and domicile being as I described above. One could compare Fascism to a nation where there is a single ruler dictator type but it also can be as I stated a Republic who leans away from its laws concerning national sovereignty. Does any of this sound familiar? Basically the wealthy hold dominion over all other groups because they control the economy and sources of all economic survival. There really is so much more of interest that one would be surprised if investigated.

Now Socialism is basically an in-between Capitalism and Communism where the distribution of goods and services is administered by government on behalf of the people and local control. It has a little bit of everything thrown into the pot. The best of all worlds so to speak.

So now that we have visited all the major systems what do we find today? Can you sense some or all in our current method of operation? Can we say in today’s American system we lean toward and have what is in my opinion a dependency on what government calls "the market forces" and we know as Corporate America? What about our national sovereignty? What do I mean, well when we talk sovereignty we are talking borders our integrity our laws our culture our way of life, simple fact. Do we have that when we have millions of illegal workers coming across our open borders with little to no retribution and the pending SPP treaty allowing free movement across our open borders? What about cheap labor, outsourcing our industry and our jobs? Is the average American under attack, the worker, do we have cheaper and cheaper labor? Is the world divided into economic sections? Hey just facts to ponder, you have to decide. I myself make no statements or approve of any system other then that our forefathers gave us and warned us to be on guard in protecting zealously.

Remember do not mix or be confused about patriotism, anti communism, etc, as being something strictly of our Republic, America, alone. As I have found out a nation could literally be a Republic in the eyes of the haves but where are you in their picture? In fact many times they have elaborate demonstrations and celebrations of patriotism. However, that is the essence of what you should ponder.

One should also consider that many new immigrants come to our shores used to these types of systems. They know no other. Therefore they are "indoctrinated" in those ways and frankly no none other. It is acceptable to them. We should also not forget that we have lost our zeal, as my earlier articles pointed out, for teaching our heritage. So these people have no real concept of what our forefathers brought forth. No, just what they know.

No this election goes far beyond race, creed or being black or what gender one is. If a hero or patriot, no it goes to the very root of our issues, what is their ideology? The only proof my friends is in what they have done or failed to do, their works. Do you know them, really know them for what they truly believe in? Do their deeds match what they say and also what they say to whom? So take all that rhetoric "my good friend and colleague", "I deeply respect" or comrade and shelve it. How about "I’ll do this" and "I promise" and ask, OK, why not now? Put your money where your mouth is.

What is in my opinion at the very root of it all is what I have been addressing for years now. That is what this nation was founded on, was, is and do not ever forget it We the People and for the Common Good. No, not the good of the few, the have, or for any other system, or corporation, but a Republic "Of the People by the People and for THE PEOPLE . Rhetorically speaking, what have we become?

So in my prior article Is there something wrong here I tried to get you to think about everything that is going on all about. The signs and symbols that are right before us to see or ignore. As a free nation you have the choice to do what you want. Yet, this truly is an historical election but not as professed by the media. It is one that deserves serious thought. Have you at least considered, or do you even care what the impact will be? No, as I stated it is not about color, race, gender, although many will draw lines over that, no it is truly all about America. The America we the have and want.

PS: Now understand we here have been fortunate that even those who have not and the very poor here are far better off then anywhere else in this entire world. Yet, in my opinion that does not make what they our leaders do or fail to do any less immoral or wrong when people, all people, are exploited, used and suffer hardships and that is the issue I have always written to. Americans need to be first in their orders of priority, then the rest and for the common good.
