Seeing or hearing does not make the personBy Robert Melaccio, sr(28,936) ![]() ![]() Posted Monday, March 17, 2008 View All Blog Posts submitted by Robert Melaccio, sr This election is what I have dubbed the Easter Parade. Everyone packaged nicely for consumption but the contents in my opinion quite hollow. That is hollow in the sense that by works, ideology and what they say and even more so what is not said is how I formed this opinion. Now certainly millions do not see it that way and they are in ecstacy concerning their candidate. Yes, hope does spring eternal. Why do I say this? Let use just a few examples to try to illustrate what I am getting at. The statements coming out of Canada concerning campaign rhetoric should be sufficient enough to make one at least wonder if their candidate is being candid, open and honest. A Black ministers statement, a white minister states, the candidates either ignore or repudiate the statement, not the ideology. Hey in my mind these people spoke their opinion and beliefs. I don’t have to like it but I have a choice in a free nation and allow them to say what they will as an expression of free speech. It is mine to accept of reject. Their words are not attached to anyone but themselves, no, not any candidate because they know them or go to their church or work with them period and no others, so why the whinnying? Yes, what can one say? However, in these politicians it is a different matter. Yes everyone so excited about what they say, their words and how they are presented but it is not in just the words but what those words imply words and how they are associated with their deeds and works that counts. Why, because they impact millions here and all over this world. However, we must accept them as we do those ministers words and make a choice. Do we believe and follow or not? It is also what they don’t say, at lease in public, that we should be concerned about. Frankly in my opinion their works already speak for them and demonstrates overwhelmingly their positions on any number of issues important to America. However, since works and deeds evidently no longer count Yes, what can one say? Ok, I’ll repeat myself so perhaps it just may sink in. Lets talk about Illegal Workers. Yes and the incorrect definition many of you buy into that these candidates and politicians continue to use that they are immigrants. They wrap it in "we are a nation of immigrants" but one word, as Paul Harvey says, the rest of the story, putting into actual context and correct context is "legal" . No, they are not immigrants by fact. Immigrants go through a legal process, have these people? Many will throw out the race card immediately. Race, no fact and you are the one who judges wrongly. The facts are what they are and no one can change that. Yes, what can one say? In my opinion it demonstrates exactly what people want to believe regardless of the truth. Yes, they will use all kinds of arguments to go around the issue but the truth is what it is. Example, we have Mr. Obama talking about a well known TV news commentators stance on Illegal Workers that Mr. Obama continues to call immigrants. Well enough said about Mr. Obama. We know exactly where he stands on the issue 85% of us black, white and all Americaans do not want, called Comprehensive Immigration. I assume that doesn't matter now? However, he cannot even get it right and that TV newsperson challenged him to an apology. Rhetorically, do those who vote for him care about the truth? Hey people can be wrong but he should certainly have his facts down before he opens his mouth after all he is the one we are chosing to lead us all. Rhetorically is it more of "good job Brownie"? Yes, what can anyone say it is right before us and we are evidently deaf, dumb and blind or don’t care. Also, I do not leave any of the others out. If you think so read my other articles. Yes, what can one say? Mr. McCain says he got it now and we will talk about the rest after he gets elected. Well if you do not know what that means, once again what can one say. Yes all three, save a few issues are bookends. They present their plans and what they will do but never get around to doing it now. They have to wait. Well if you don’t know why then once again, yes, what can one say? Frankly with issue, after issue we hear what they say very clearly, that is if we can comprehend what they are truly saying and espousing. They in fact hide nothing and say it often. How does one explain this to those who don’t understand? Like I said, Hitler said it all and everyone laughed and ignored. Yes, what can one say? Now if people like these candidates for their deeds, works, what they have done or not done or failed to do that is a different reason. I can accept that as their right. However, in my opinion I see those who vote in this manner as evidently being Birds of a feather. Rhetorically that is can they evidently approve of law breaking, immorality, sin? Frankly in truth, that is in my opinion what they evidently stand for because of what these politicans have done or failed to do and speak openly about being for. Is it not the results of their work which speak to what we know as fact. What is that? That is illegal workers who come here illegally and steal ID commit crime and sin and no sweat words can talk it away. Another example, do you not think Credit Interest of 31% is not excessive and immoral? Can any religious say it is not or any who profess God say it is not immoral or usury? What about the fee’s and charges and the constant calling and harassing for "unsecured" debt? Do you not find that immoral? What about the Katrina victims still waiting for their homes to be rebuilt? Is that not immoral? Where were or are these leaders you hope in? No it is not being a good Samaritan, or about humanity it is all about "a nation of laws, sovereignty and borders, compassion and morality and right and justice and above all for the common good and not the good of the few. Yes and in my opinion those who sit home and do nothing are the same by fact of their non doing. They have by proxy accepted what they will get. Yes, what can one say? Hey strong talk but fact. You can rant and rave, give me argument after argument and words upon words but the truth is the truth. Of course unless you approve of Ethical Relativity and then what is truth? Yes, what can one say? So for the rest of us or those who this has struck a cord with do you not think this is not the time to demand change NOW? Hey prove the critics wrong. Let these candidates go back to that town they claim and said is broken and fix it NOW! No not after the election, NOW. Prove me and many others wrong. Lead by example by your ability to and change America. It is really simple. Yes, what can one say? Robert T. Melaccio Sr. 2008 Copyright ©2008 Robert Melaccio This Blog Post has been read 226 times.
