Madeleine McCann asked her mum 'why didn't you come when we were crying last night?'

I cannot contain my contempt for the parents of missing Madeleine McCann any longer. I have gone through anger, to sympathy and have now come full circle after reading today that the morning of Madeleine's disappearance Madeleine McCann appealed to her mother about being left home alone.

She asked  "why didn't you come when we were crying last night?"

Source Here.

The news item reports that her parents discussed the matter for a FEW MINUTES and decided to keep a closer watch, which makes you wonder how often they checked on the children previous tto Madeleines comment!

"While we were having breakfast, Madeleine said: 'Mum, why didn't you come when we were crying last night?'," she told police. She added: "Gerry and I talked about it for several minutes and decided to watch over the children more carefully at night."

Why didn't they take this as a warning sign that there were many potential dangers to leaving children home alone, not least they will be frightened. NEVER should a child be in a situation of pure isolation without an adult on hand if they need one.

They could have hired a child sitter, they could have taken it in turns to mind the children, but instead they opted for jolly times with their friends and to continue leaving their children home alone despite the fact they were waking in the night distressed. This in itself is child cruelty.

Sadistic is all I can use right now to sum this situation up.

I pray for Madeleine's return and still have sympathy for the parents but hearing about this plea from Madeleine makes that very difficult to sustain. The parents are angry that the news leaked of this conversation but given the huge amount of support they have had not least financial, we deserve to know the extent of their negligence.
