A nation gone astray by design or just plain incompetence? by Robert Melaccio, sr

No matter what issue you wish to talk to in my opinion we have become a nation gone astray by one means or another. You decide which one? Quite frankly it is all about leadership or as we are experiencing a lack thereof. Look this is either all by design or what I have stated. I tend to believe we are dealing with in my opinion incompetence at almost every level of management in whatever organization you care to address. It is as they say Peters Principal taken to the very extreme.

Look the elite universities many of these leaders have attended? Look at the degree on the wall, the title they hold and what they profess. When compared to their works for many it becomes totally meaningless. Yes meaningless if they cannot deliver what they profess, preach or promise. In my opinion and for the most part they are excellent at passing the buck, accepting and taking credit for the good while redirecting the bad away. The word responsibility no longer in the dictionary. Yes and as I have stated time after time always time to do over and always more money to throw at it.

So just where does one start? As I read and hear these politicians speaking I cannot help but wonder if they or their staffs are reading things the common man has been thinking and saying for sometime now. Well we know that is true because all of a sudden their rhetoric has changed significantly. Does one sense fear they are losing it? Example, Obama at a recent speech and to paraphrase him, we don’t have time to wait we have to do it now. Just when is now and who is we? Is it after election or just when that now comes into play? Why can’t he and the others get it done NOW?

Of course you will get the nay sayers who say these are complex matters. Well my friends they are not that complex if they wanted to really address them. The bovine may think that but frankly it can be done rather quickly. They do it every single day for the big money people. Yes total agreement on giving out billions for them asap. Some of these things can be done in relativly short time like capping interest rates at 10 or 12 percent , fees and penalties, which would make a major immediate impact on credit card debt and help families to get through a crisis. In my opinion the golden calf of these politicans. No interest there just a lot of talk. Cap the rate and talk later. Will they, well in my opinion you are either bovine or you have the answer to that one.

What else am I talking to? Well fuel prices and its major impact on Americans across the board is another simple example. Like the cost of goods. Ok do you not remember what I said a few articles back? The law of supply and demand is no longer. Supply and demand was a fundamental principal of economics yet when actual supply demand has dropped higher prices continue, why? Yes like vegtables in Qatar speculators are driving the market and forcing pricing up. The price of Diesel fuel now over $4.00 a gallon drives the cost of transportation up and subsequently goods because over 80% of our goods go over the road. You would think they would want to hold that cost down wouldn't you? No and so we all see it in everything we buy. Strange in these hard pressed times when you want people to buy, not drive they do the opposite? Do you not wonder about that? Yes and we are asking oil men to hold fuel prices down.

Did we not forget the last election just two short years ago when we were going to get change? You do not remember that, well Moo. How about when gas prices soared to what we then called unheard of prices and people were complaining and then like an intervention from God they went down right before election, stange no? Not all the way in my opinion but to where they wanted us to be and accept, yes Moo. Yes more indoctrination of the masses, Moo. Yes and in my opinion the same will hold true this election, Moo.

So why bother to repeat what is right before us. Just look at the news, the rallies on TV and the cheering masses that go to see these politicians, Moo. Yes, if you read my work and agree or not you can see the truth for yourself. Hey, just go visit a Nursing Home or Hospital and really see what Health Care is, or I should say what it really isn't? Yes you baby boomers who sit their snug and arrogant that say they have insurance and are not worried. Yes, well when the need arises remember this, if there is no one there to be your voice you will find out exactly what I mean. It may be too late but you had your chance.

Yes and some of these candidates say education is the path to job growth and good jobs. Yes when we start to really educate and not teach to a test and those new jobs really all go to Americans, if ever and which are years away, not now. Why, because like it or not we teach to tests like FCAT because if the grades are not good enough teachers and administrators get fired. Simple my friends in my opinion they continue the facade. Go ask a teacher who is a teacher. Read yes, comprehend, forget it and write to a 6^th grade level.. Math, ok enough said. Yes, in my opinion all part of the plunder of America. Yes and jobs, good stay here pay well jobs, well in my opinion you have a better chance if you go to India, become a citizen there and come back, then you might get one here.

Do you want a manufacturing job, yes even those people in Canada who in my opinion do not know it as yet but are next on the North American Union list of expendable high priced labor if not already. Yes, learn Mandarin Chinese or Spanish and go to China or Mexico or South America because that is where the jobs are and will be. Just do not expect any decent wages. You notice I said decent.

So are these bad people? I don't look at it in that light but frankly look at their works, what they have done or failed to do. Who and what they support, their ideology, their real beliefs. However if you think you can trust what they say, their words, without a knowledge of their deeds and ideals then all one can say is Moo. I for one do not see it in their works. Have you not experienced that already?

Look even the Pope [oh my how dare I speak about that] had to find it necessary to speak in Spanish. Well he is right. 1/3 of his church in America is now Spanish. Rhetorically if the numbers increased that wouldn't be so bad, but have they? Why, well he has a church in America declining in numbers and as I stated he now has 1/3 who are Hispanic and many who are here via the illegal worker route. Did anyone speak to that? Is that also a sin? In truth the history of this nation is one of immigration, that is legal immigration. People came here via the legal process and forced themselves and their children to learn English while we evidently feel we must acquiesce to those who arrogantly refuse to and break our law and the Commandments of their God. Hey not hatred although some who deserve to be called the bovine in my opinion who will relate it to that. No the simple truth. Nothing wrong with your language of origin or its use where appropriate just do not force it or demand we change. Can you say this is not the case in America today? Just today I heard select 1 for Spanish 2 for English. English now second. I do not know about you but that says something to me. In fact if one were honest you could say who are the ones being discriminated against?

So in my opinion we are a nation gone astray. We are in my opinion a nation without capable leadership or those who are incapable of leading for the common good of all or really do not care to. Do they believe in what they do, of course. I only ask does their beliefs and works demonstrate that it is good for the common good or the select few?

So as we draw close to the end of the "campaign" season listen, look, hear because their signs and their symbols will grow in intensity. Will what they do help the common man, average American, the ones in financial trouble, facing bankruptcy, the loss of a home, who are unemployed or working dead end jobs with no benefits and future? Yes if you place you hope in this batch all I can say to you is Moo. Why, it seems they have convinced me we are what we are and just perhaps we do not have the ability to make change and need to be led by the ring in our nose like Oxen. After all is all we have left hope?

Like a sound in the wilderness that is never heard or may never be heard but by a few that is what in my opinion we have to today in America. You who Wonder Why, yes all you have left in my opinion is just that, to Wonder Why.
