He’s a nobody, doesn’t he know how big we are?By Robert Melaccio, sr(26,143) ![]() ![]() Posted Friday, April 25, 2008 View All Blog Posts submitted by Robert Melaccio, sr If that title isn't the epitome of what is happening today in America and the world then what is? I’ll give you this example straight out as it happened and is continuing. In my opinion it capsulizes everything that is America today. It speaks to our character as a people, our ethics, our morality and who we really are and certainly not who we profess to be. The title comes from a very good source who wishes to remain out of it, but is trustworthy. In fairness it is hearsay but then again circumstances can convict - like If the glove fits you must convict. The reverse of OJ. It speaks to a service provider who provides entertainment for a fee, or I should say used to and has since been canceled. In fact they never lived up to their advertising and even to this day they still market themselves as the cats meow of that business while failing in my opinion by nature of experience woefully short. Yes they just have excuse after excuse and lie after lie and omission after omission. Yes fact in my opinion and sadly by experience. In fairness to them they did spend money trying to resolve their problems and they did issue credits. That is the truth. However, since they could never fix the issues they basically informed me that's the way it is, just pay or go. I chose to go but keep this in mind if you decide to go, they are all in bed with one another, called partners. It is just not that simple to pick up and go, until that is you have paid your bill. No problem paying them what is owed, but they have had a problem after saying they issued a credit in that they repost those same credited charges a few months later. Yes watch out because after about a month or two you get a bill saying you are in arrears and you owe them x charges and past due fees. Yes in my opinion a niece little lets make extra money feature that is evidently by nature of whom I talk to the same for other users of their services. In my opinion it is called integrity, honor, ethics and I will end there. So I decided to end my relationship with them by canceling. I owed them the current month, no problems and since they billed in advance, I should not have been charged for that. Yes, you got it, I was. So a billing dispute came into play. No, I will not pay until you adjust my bill. I do not owe you the entire month and by their own admission I cancelled, they just failed to disconnect on time while I had stopped using their equipment and services.
Now when the new service company came out to install they found my connector on the back of my TV broken, bent. They will not hookup that TV because they do not want to be liable. My ex service provider was the only one to hook up that TV. So I call them and ask for someone to come out. Needless to say [He’s a nobody, doesn’t he know how big we are?] So now after a few weeks a loud pounding on my front door. In my opinion that alone speaks to their character as a company. Yes can I help you? Are you so and so? Yes. Well you owe us X. Are you here to fix my broken TV? No, just collect. Well tell your boss I will be most happy to settle my account when he gives me the courtesy of a call to resolve my TV problems. Ok, I’ll do that, see ya. [He’s a nobody, doesn’t he know how big we are?] So he leaves and I go out for a bit. When I return no TV reception? I checked all day and couldn’t find anything so I called the person who installed the new service. Anyone change anything no. When did the problem start, yesterday about so and so. Oh, hey, a service guy from x was out and it happened after I returned home, a few hours later. After 3 days of waiting he came out. He checked everything in the home and then went outside where he immediately identified a piece of MY EQUIPMENT was removed and the cables were attached wrong. I purchased a new component and up came the TV’s. Thats $73.00 later. Hey don't worry thats not stealing as the police say but in my opinion you better not try it. I then called my ex service provider who after hours of trying to get through to the big wigs, I finally got a person who assured me they would take care of it and someone would call back. [He’s a nobody, doesn’t he know how big we are?] No call until I reported I was placing a police call on my stolen equipment. Guess what, a call came at 11 PM. They were coming out to see for themselves. They did and once again looked at me like I’m the problem. Why not [ He’s a nobody, doesn’t he know how big we are?] I then took them outside and went through the same arrogance. [He’s a nobody, doesn’t he know how big we are?] They asked if they could call my new vendor and I said sure, which they did, after all why believe me? [He’s a nobody, doesn’t he know how big we are?] They talked to them and they repeated what I had said. [He’s a nobody, doesn’t he know how big we are?] Now I am still here waiting. Now here is where this all ties in to the economy and what is in my opinion why we have what we have. I had talked to the Governors Office here in Florida who transferred me to one of the agencies. Truthfully his a office always responds but sadly he makes the assumtion, as we all do, that these agencies can and do "help" consumers and citizens. Information maybe, help, well in my opinion sorely lacking. Nothing there out of all of them I spoke with. Ok try my legislators in Tallahassee. They did call. I have to say they always do as well. Yet, their reply, have you tried those state agencies? Ok, just what are you drinking? Nothing, Nada., Zilch, zero. Ok what about the FCC, do I need say? The police, well you have to take them to civil court. It doesn't matter they took my property and equipment. Ok they can steal is what in my opinion is being said to me. The Attorney General's office said, call your representative or sue. Ok how about that Congressional representative? Ok what about your local representatives? Now after all this are they for real? [He’s a nobody, doesn’t he know how big we are?] It is factual as anyone can get with anyone!
Yes and in closing might I point you to The International Forum for Social Development October 2004 and the redistribution of wealth in the world. It speaks of open borders and the fact that wealth needs to be redistributed. From the haves [in my opinion the have workers and certainly not the have, haves] to those nations who struggle. I guess they struggle no longer? Do I need to write the entire report? No you can go and read it for yourself. Do you not understand what I am saying? For anyone to think that the economic situation in our nation can be solved through simple economics is to those who research unbelievable. To think that these educated people do not know what is happening is well in my opinion bovine. Does not this one example of one company indicate what people are dealing with? [He’s a nobody, doesn’t he know how big we are?]
The answer lies in their opinion which unfortunately as the word of this century speaks right to the issue [He’s a nobody, doesn’t he know how big we are?] Yes and replace the he with we are, etc. Robert T.
