The party platforms revealed.By Robert Melaccio, sr(28,936) ![]() ![]() Posted Wednesday, May 21, 2008 View All Blog Posts submitted by Robert Melaccio, sr The party platforms revealed. Yes, now that the election is over and it matters not which candidate gets elected we can get down to the brass tacks of both parties platforms. I think we all know them by heart but for purposes of getting their supporters excited I will define them again. In my opinion nothing more then promises and regardless of who gets in for the most part the same results. Now these are short statements without the complex details for purposes of identification feeling that we all know the issues well. So keep this and look for the Platforms to follow. The after all this, next year, check it out then and see what has transpired. The Platforms
So there are many more that will be thrown in but these are the major ones. Now where do you expect change, if any at all? Do you want to pick one out and discuss it? Comprehensive Immigration, ok 80 percent of all Americans against it, why are they for it? Just ask Feinstein who is about to bring it to the floor again after the election. It is still on the table, read my earlier articles or check out the Senate site. Do you really think they care about you? MOO. The economy. Well how bad can it get? My opinion, just wait. Expanded Trade, most certainly. All part of their agenda. I think you expect it to be fair trade. My question to you, why? Our Military. Ok, it is shambles and will remain so as will support for our vets comings home. Yes we will continue to out source our military appropriations offshore. So now that we know the election is over the fun is how correct we are in guessing their platforms. In reality bookends for a few minor things here and there chiefly taxes and the war but in the end it will go down the same as it always does. However, those who voted will sense a great victory of the people, Moo. Hey just an opinion and one I would hope to be wrong about. The sad part is I haven’t been wrong on many my friends and especially when it comes to them and you. Robert T.
