Movie from Moulin RougeBy CatherineYen(20,979) ![]() ![]() Moulin Rouge (1952)
![]() ![]() Moulin Rouge is a movie telling the story of the artist-Henri de toulouse-lautrec, the most recent published movie was directed by Baz Luhrman in year 2001, the actor is Ewan McGregor and actress is Nicole Kidman. To my remembrance, the original motion picture was taken in 1952 by famous film goddess-Zsa Zsa Gabor (1916- ), she acts as the dancer, Jane Avril. Gabor is a witty, exotic performer and known for many husbands and films including "Moulin Rouge(1952)", "Touch of Evil(1958)","PePe(1960)" etc-- the most beautiful songs in movie "Moulin Rouge" are entitled as "Moulin Rouge" (the tune is like the English song -"Where is your Heart") and "It's April Again" (composed by George Auric, and the lyrics have been written in the links of "my music"). Zsa Zsa Gabor's quotes are humorous and famous: "To be loved is a strength, to love is a weakness" "God made woman beautiful and foolish; beautiful, that man might love her, and foolish, that she might love him" "I am a marvelous housekeeper, everytime I leave a man, I keep his house" "I never hated a man enough to give him diamonds back" p.s. Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec(1864-1901) had a portrait sketch of Jane Avril in 1892, now is collected in Natiional Gallery of Art, Washington.
