does OneUglyDomain.net = $1,000,000?

By TheOptimist(4,576)

Some of you may know of Andres Kello. He is from Australia and is trying to break the worlds record for the most expensive domain name ever, with TheRecordBreakingDomain.com. I trade domain names myself, so I was interested in this project, and I have blogged about it in the past.

What has now caught my interest is Andres' new project, OneUglyDomain.com.

I would recommend that you visit the site to get the full story, but basically he is trying to follow in the footsteps of the blogger that traded up one red paperclip for a house (OneRedPaperclip.com).

In this case, Kello started with a domain name that was not even worth the registration fees, OneUglyDomain.net. He has already traded this domain for one that is notably better, ReleaseParty.com, and he will now trade this one for what should be even better than that. His goal is to continue trading until he gets a domain name good enough to sell for $1,000,000.

It is a very ambitious goal, and I enjoy following these types of Internet attempts. I have some domain names, and I may perhaps offer them for trade if one of his names catches my interest.

There are a million people that don't want to believe that things like this can happen, but in my mind, it is so much more fun to believe in others dreams help them. Go Andres!

Best of luck, and stay optimistic!
