Theatre isn't convenient

By buckeye(148)

In recent years the box office has been taking a hit. It seems that people are being more selective when it comes to watching a movie at the theatre. Well if you think about, why not be more selective? I usually can't find time to see a movie. Most of my free time comes after 10:00 and the last movies have either started or I have 10 minutes to get there. The theatre doesn't allow for convenience anymore. That's a problem when we are a society constantly looking to make more things convienent. Everywhere you see businesses trying to make things convienent (online banking, shopping, etc.) You practically don't have to leave your house. You can even have movies delivered to your house with NetFlix. It's all about convenience and the theatre isn't convenient. In fact it's uncomfortable. Would you rather sit on the sofa in the luxury of your own home or go to some dirty theatre and sit in an uncomfortable seat?
