Bush Won't Change Strategy?By ShySamson(3) I read this morning on the internet that President Bush says he will not change the US military's overall strategy in Iraq, despite widespread concern amongst his own party that this very attitude will hurt the Republicans at the polls in the upcoming Congressional elections. Well, as a registered Independent who has no love for Bush or the Republican party, this is news that is neither bad nor surprising. I, of course, believe our strategy in Iraq MUST change as it is clear that our current course of action is leading us from one violent military disaster to another. But, if Bush wants to be hard-headed and voluntarily distance himself and the rest of his party from the majority opinion of the citizens of these United States, I say "Go for it!" I can't think of a political decision more foolish at election time than one which is so divisive for the Republican party. Whatever it takes to get them out of power, however, is fine by me. So keep on, keepin' on, Bush! Don't let a little common sense stand in your way of completely demolishing your political party's hold on the government! This Blog Post has been read 0 times.
