Youtube continued...

By buckeye(148)

It's the subject of Youtube continued!!! OK, maybe not that exciting but I would have to say that if you mention Youtube to someone they probably have already heard about. I remember when I found out about the site, I searched for video clips for over an hour. I then told someone about it and they looke at me like I was an idiot (He had known about the site for a while). I guess I'm behind the times these days, oh well.

I was thinking about the impact that Youtube could have on television and movies today and in the future. The subject reminded me of some of my earlier blogs on the subject of PIRACY! Could legislation be passed in the future prohibiting the large sharing of video across the internet? Would we have to pay for video sharing in the future? Will bellbottoms return as a popular style of clothing? Ok, the last question was off subject, but either way these questions do cause you to think of what impact Youtube may hold. Heck, right now as I'm typing this blog there is a little tab in my edit box that has a Youtube logo on it. The tab allows me to do this....

Another thing to think about is if people don't necessarily have to watch TV to watch their favorite shows then what happens to advertising. For instance you can go onto let's say ABC'S website and watch last night's episode of "Lost". You can miss last night's airing and then go and watch the episode skipping the 15 minutes of commercials. Why not?
