Are Cats Really That Dumb?By BJChips(5,642) ![]() ![]() Hello Fellow Bloggers Well you’ve all had a couple of days to watch the “Stupid Cat” video I posted on my blog. As promised, here are my thoughts and comments on what the true meaning of this video is.First let’s take a look at the opening scene. A cat crawling out from beneath the sofa cushions. Now I can assure you not any of the canines I’ve spoken with would EVER consider sequestering themselves underneath or behind anything a human is likely to plop their bottom on suddenly with out warning. Yes, I admit that most of us like to jump up in our human’s favorite chair mere seconds before they plan on sitting in it. It’s a dog thing, a kind of “beat you to it” statement we all like to make from time to time. However, the difference is this, we can see where and when our human is about to assume the sit position and avoid any potential crushing issues. The cat in this video can’t see it coming! Stupid is as stupid does (I heard this in a movie once) and this cat certainly brings that observation to life.I move on, to the cat that voluntarily jumps into a human bathtub filled with water. What is that about? We all know cats hate water and they dislike baths more then we canines do. So, one asks why would this crazed feline leap into a tub of water? Were mad humans chasing him at the time of this stupid leap? The answer most likely lies elsewhere, buried deep in his small cat brain. You have to admit fellow readers this video is filled with excellent examples of feline stupidity. The kitten that climbs the leg of his human while she is preparing his meal. Is he insane? NEVER attack your human during mealtime. They can turn nasty on a moments notice and withhold your food or worse yet stop you from collecting any tasty morsels of human food! Then there’s the silly situation in the kitchen where one cat scares the other one. Hey, what’s the point? Why sneak up on and terrorize one of your own kind? The answer would seem to be the sheer lack of feline brainpower. I could take up space and comment on every single example of feline dumbness on this video but why bother, it speaks for itself. Cats just don’t plan ahead like canines. They act on impulse, not reason and man oh man they permit their humans to record their absurd behavior on tape so it can be played over and over again. This said my fellow canines we can use that to our advantage. Here’s a few examples. 1- Something gets broken while your human is away from home. Stay clear and blame the cat. Refer to the examples in this video where the cat jumps on the counter and wipes out the kitchen appliance in the process.2- Your human is bored with playing toss and fetch hand him the cat and suggest he toss it onto the ceiling where the cat with stick like a living spit ball and hang there apparently waiting for the human to fetch it down. 3- Want to see what that stupid looking sweater your human bought looks like before you put it on, let the cat model it for you. Roll on the floor with laughter when the cat falls down while wearing it. 4- Suggest the cat play the part of the net in a quick game of table tennis. Better yet, suggest that he keep score. The humans will never finish the game; we all know cats can’t count. 5- Finally, there’s the old brown paper bag trick. Persuade your human to leave an ordinary brown paper grocery sack on the kitchen floor. Stand back and watch the cat run in and out of the bag pretending to have fun when actually he’s looking for the new litter box he thinks they hid inside. So, there you have it gentle reader, and fellow canines an excellent example of cat stupidity and how to use it to your advantage. Be sure to save this video and keep it handy for future reference.Until next time, remember to chase the cat and happy blogging! This Blog Post has been read 23 times. Youre so right bro,,, Cats are dumb, and I have 4!!! your buddy Rage Comment by BJChips(5,642) ![]() ![]() Hey Bru, Palmo typing, cos Tank's being lazy again. I am learning to speak Saffa (this is short for South African) - wow, finding it tough going, but I wont give up. Remember I told you I met a cat for the first time the other day? Well, I reckon we're safe hey, NO cat is gonna move into our house...I have my human's total assurance. Whew, was I ever relieved...Love to everyone, Palmo (oh and I suppose Tank) Cheers Boet! (see how good I am getting mate!) Comment by BJChips(5,642) ![]() ![]() Hey BJ, Taitti had a great game he used to play with cats. He would sit quietly in the warm kitchen beside the cat flap and wait until the cat came through, when it got half through he would jump out and stand just out of claw range and bark furiously. The cat couldn't get any further in because Taitti was there and he couldn't go back because he was stuck in the flap! Occasionally he misjudged and got a clawing but mostly he got hours of entertainment! Leave a Public Comment or Question: Kicking it all off... Hollywood Baby!
